I have already uploaded the fix.
I can definitively say that the game still skips to the ending prematurely and it is NOT fixed. Or at least, not all of the downloads are fixed. I HIGHLY suggest that you take the extra {Insert time length here} and ensure that you do a proper upload from now on. This is arguably the biggest waste of my time from a game that I've downloaded on this site. Sorry if that's harsh, but it's also true. Hope you get everything sorted.

I worked on this update for an entire month, focusing on the story and gameplay. Unfortunately, I missed some bugs in the game. I know that my updates usually have bugs at launch, but just like big studios that release patches because their games also come out buggy at first, I do the same. When I notice new bugs and when you report them to me, I try to fix them as quickly as possible so you can play. That’s why I release fixes as soon as I find and fix an issue. This is exactly why I need your feedback — so you can report bugs and I can fix them.

The game itself and the gameplay do not contain bugs. The issue lies only in code errors, which cause the game to start and end in the wrong places. These are technical problems that can be easily fixed.

Apparently, during export, half of the content was cut off, so you only saw the end of the game, not even the middle. When I check the project inside the editor, this problem does not exist. So it is my fault that I didn’t properly test the exported build.

You are making conclusions too quickly without even seeing 10% of the game. You only saw the moment when I accidentally released something that wasn’t exactly what I planned. I will spend some more time fixing this and will publish an update later today. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Yep same for me game over right after that exact moment everytime. I even redownloaded the entire thing and nope didn't work.

so first time player. the game likely has something going for it, but it is messed up or at least the file i downloaded. i start the game with the main character looking through a hole seeing his loved ones getting screwed. i move through the tunnel and find the forester, he lets me sleep through the night. its day, cant go down so i go up, then go down, a conversation with "sofia" happens who is a character that has not been seen, the conversation seems that she did the forester and he saw them but i never did. a couple of scenes happen, do the mom sofia, do the daughter, both of which just come out of nowhere because im sure a lot of dialogue was skipped. bridge to new town, find girl, then go to next building and find note saying the girl ran away. MC has run cutscene, i click a sparkle which spawns a cutscene of a guy with a sword (who i never saw before) then it goes to game over. the whole save took 12 min. oh and all 5 of the preview pictures from the thread, didnt see any of them in the game, and im pretty sure i didnt see those girls either.

Wait, I'm confused, is the game meant to start with the main character spying on the Mediator and then being chased? I do that, find the Forester, do that quest until I head back to the town, find the sister, find the house in the woods, Forester turns up, game over when I enter another building but now have white hair.
I've not seen any of the other characters from the preview images. The way other people have been speaking makes it seem like this new release is just the update, not the full game so far.

I have a feeling that the game start is bugged now

This is why I said take your time though and that we wouldn't be upset if you did that we all prefer you to take your time instead of making mistakes. Don't take what I said personally because I didn't mean it maliciously even the joking parts. I meant it as "I'd rather wait and play a finished update than a rushed update" so yeah don't worry work out the kinks and bugs and then re upload it. It'll be fine.

I have a deep personal care for hentai game creators/developers believe it or not and it takes a great deal for me to get mad at one since this is the last vestige for me of my life where I can get stress relief without relying on hookers IRL which I've actually resorted to in my mid 20s no less. So to make sure I do all I can to never go back to living the cliche player lifestyle I use hentai games as stress relief now since it's much more manageable. So yes I do want your game to succeed, and yes I do want you to take your time creating it. Plus I read on your patreon your story friend and I am sorry for your loss. It is never easy when you lose someone deeply important to your goals.

Respectfully, what little I saw was all I even know about your game and up until it suddenly cuts to ending it's VERY difficult to tell something's actually wrong because you have such little context. Conversely, these large studios at least nominally have an excuse to release buggy content and even then it shouldn't really happen outside of niche things like uncommon hardware/software interactions. I can respect and understand that, presumably as a solo dev, you encounter issues but also, respectfully, I disagree that an issue as major as half your created content being cut off should even realistically happen.

Ultimately, you can choose to take my criticism as one of two ways. You can either accept and acknowledge why someone might be frustrated by this and use it to double-down on your quality assurance to avoid things like this in the future or you can just write me off as "assuming" and overly critical.

I'm trying to be fair when I say this, but if you had actually even booted up your own release before posting it online for others, then you would have immediately noticed that it's broken, not had to slap-patch a supposed fix onto it (I'm not trying to attack you here), and then still have not fixed the issue. In your defense, what little I actually saw seemed better than expected, if that soothes your frustration at my criticism and I'm more than willing to wait until you have properly fixed the release and replay it, because what I saw deserved a fair chance.
