I played this game a year ago. It was fun, but felt really unfinished being a early access and all.
So I stopped playing after 2hrs. All the DLC is just cosmetic so you shouldn't really harp on them for that.
It's not like many other games who release day 1 dlc with actual game content. That shits scummy.

It's a little bit bad but the plot, or reading it isn't the main draw of the game.
There literally isn't enough text to really care about.
It's an action roguelike and the only sexual aspects are the costumes.

SWPT is still in early development after their turnaround/"reboot" last year or so & is still fighting with shit like self-destructing save-game bugs. This one is officially released. Hardly a comparison.
By the looks of it I would not expect much more than a 3rd person ARPG though. And by the positive review rating of it it looks like it delivers on that.

Genre's different; Action roguelike, think of DMC or Bayonetta.
There is a plot but it's very loose and not interesting.
Gameplay is the shine.
Edit: It has a super sexy parry/counter system that toys with my addiction for parry/counter systems.
Also most of the female costumes have battle damage, but again, no full nudity cos it's China.

You might have to look up what roguelike is. DMC or Bayonetta certainly isn't a roguelike and this game doesn't seem like one either.
I think you mean action adventure.
But they are not really even action adventures. They are straight up hack and slash, a genre that DMC influenced greatly with it's stylish combo oriented gameplay.

There is some debate on what roguelike means, but pretty much everyone can agree that it requires at least 3 things. Permadeath, procedural dungeon generation, and no carry over benefits between runs. Just having perma death doesn't make it a roguelike. That's just ironman mode.
