So, Mr. Spokesperson, when the update is coming?Tori is making the game he wants to make in his spare time. So far, has done an amazing job at creating such game.
We all told him not to bend to the community's wants and stay the course with his vision. Which is what he's doing.
I don't think he's too focused on the business side of things currently, as clearly Tori's communication with the community has been subpar.
Tori is just choosing to make the game at his pace with his own vision in mind, and if people will support him great, if not, okay. His thinking is probably that, as long as he continues making the game he wants to make; and it's very high quality, the business side of things will come along with that.
This is probably a lesson for Tori, in that going forwards, if providing your audience an expectation around an update; give yourself a month or two of buffer. In other words, underpromise and overdeliver.
But at the end of the day it's Tori's game and he can do whatever he wants / communicate things however he wants. The thing that's important is that, he has acknowledged that he has passed the expected timeline he previously gave and is offering full refunds.
I really think that the amount of trolling and vitriol seen in here shows how much people love the game. They take time out of their days to come here and complain and troll because that's how badly they want an update. I hope Tori can see that and look past those comments.
Whenever Tori is ready to release it.So, Mr. Spokesperson, when the update is coming?
tori is experimenting with an exciting and innovative new approach: underpromise and underdeliver. In other words, underpromise and overdeliver.
Omg! You can hear them!?never heard so many people crying about not getting their wished pro bono wank
For real. I check in periodically and just laugh at all the seething hate. Life's too short to bitch like that -- I've got all the time in the world and a backlog of like 50 games, so patience comes easy. I know it'll be great when it finally gets here.never heard so many people crying about not getting their wished pro bono wank
Links? Will not give up this game ever, but the remaster was so uneccesary. it lost it's uniqueness in the art that made me love the art to begin with, but it's still hot enough for a wank for me. it used to be hotter than that though.
It's a few pages back, but Tori explained it. To paraphrase from what I remember, the technology has improved significantly since he started making the game, and using the old method was taking some ridiculously long amount of time for just one scene. Whatever the new system is, it's apparently much faster and easier to use for him, but since there is a change in the art style, he wanted to go back and make the whole game have the same art style.Links?
Why is he remastering exactly?
AI Issues ??
And now there are even better models released to the public than old stable diffusion XL, so he's redoing game for the third time. It's a few pages back, but Tori explained it. He gonna redo the game every time the AI models update, so let him cook. And now there are even better models released to the public than old stable diffusion XL, so he's redoing game for the third time.

ofc their are better things in future...lol better never buy a new computer or gpu because a better one WILL be out next yearAnd now there are even better models released to the public than old stable diffusion XL, so he's redoing game for the third time.
Hmmm I'll take a wager against this stake, reasonable guess but just doesn't feel like his style....then again this dev is the guy that got very resistant to changing his own overuse of hard pauses, so perhaps control-freak isnt unearned.since this thread is dead waiting for an update anyway, i'll throw out a wild prediction just to see if i'm right. i have no evidence for this, just a wild guess to pass the time:
i think the dev is going to introduce some type of password-protection DRM thing for the game. he's hinted at "looking into" this before and expressed frustration with leaks.
