Other threads got them because the Dev went 3 months with no communication on any of their socials. This dev hasn't missed a full week without some form of communication though. You can always manually unwatch the thread though and pretend it's abandoned.

People tend to be rude and aggressive when it comes to expressing their disappointment, but 5 months without any updates for what is basically a kinetic novel with static AI-generated images is fucking crazy.

"Masterpiece" is very strong wording...its a good work in progress w plenty of dumb story diversions and a bit parallel development. Good, not great, but def not masterpiece.
I think as far as the genre of NTS focused kinetic/visual novels goes this is one of if not the best available. Most on the market either have 4 guys running a train on your GF by chapter 2 or you have to hold ctrl for 5 mins to see her hug someone. The pacing is good, the scenarios are believable enough and creative. Can't think of much else that comes close (especially none with as much content completed)
yea except in this game you have to wait 6 months to hold ctrl to see the same content you already saw before
I know we're partly joking about this but I'm fairly confident that a lot of the game is going to feel pretty new when the remaster is released. So that's at least exciting to look forward to.
Like obviously the narrative will only progress to the same point (I'm guessing unless Tori feels like he needs to change it to better fit the direction of the remaster) but how it looks getting to that point will feel like playing through the game for the first time with the additional scenes and reimagined existing scenes.

moonripple is great. the game has released 3 chapters in the time since tori started the scam remaster, and the art and backgrounds are far superior in my opinionWell, imho Moonripple Lake comes more than close, it´s in fact plainly ahead ... and in active development
i wonder if the emergence of new, better NTS games contributed to tori losing his motivation
I like MRL. Especially a lot more after the most recent chapter. But I wouldn't call it close to the same tier as this game just yet. I think it is mainly competing with My New Girlfriend. Although I believe currently it's a step below that game as well for now.
I think Blurring The Walls still holds the top spot until the other games have more content out. Although they release monthly for the most part usually there aren't as many new scenes as BTW. So until several months go by and they have more content my current power rankings would go:
1) Blurring The Walls
2) My New Girlfriend
3) Moonripple/Vulgar Reverie
The most recently released updates for MRL and VR were super spicy. But I would need to see more content build up before it replaces anything above it.

well lucky for us, the games you mentioned all actually release new chapters, so you won't have to wait long
i think moonripple is the most exciting for me. the tone is so far striking the perfect balance of fun/sexy. and my new girlfriend is after that. that game is much crazier and fast paced but it's a nice change from the glut of slow burn games we had for a while
but both of these games have very specific and consistent art styles. i don't think blurring the walls is even close, even after the remaster
the way her face is flat and 2D but her boobs have a 3D effect just looks off. it's not BAD, and i still love the overall anime style, but it's not in the same league of the other games where the whole art style feels completely cohesive
this is why i think the reaction to the remaster is going to be poor. the market shifted underneath tori while he took too long, and his skills just aren't at the same level. he had a head start, but just got outpaced
in the end it's not a competition and we can enjoy all of them, but tori's pattern of remastering-the-remaster shows signs of the dev panicking
