Okay this is just me making my opinion known and want to be educated, cause I don't know anything about making Renpy or games in general...

I think remastering the game was fine because his excuse was the programming software who did the AI art changed their art style in general... making them all the same style will make the game more even out if that makes any sense, and I think that that was understandable... But then it took so long that it has now surpassed the previous time it took to make all the previous updates.

Because it doesn't make sense now that it would take that long because he was just changing the art style right? It's not like he was remaking the script and doing programing AND doing the art... No all he was doing was replacing the old art with a new one right? I think that's why people are so pissed because it didn't make sense and because of the patreon thing... and then the re-remaster thing happened...

Sorry just trying to make sense of how it got to this point and I think this is how it started? correct me if I'm wrong cause I am not that updated on how this happened...

And yeah I agree that the hype and expectations are now way too high and it would still receive a lot of negative feedback when it releases... Still have a tiny glimmer of hope that it would actually release... hopefully... maybe... cause I did love the game you know...
From what I know, he is remaking everything, including the scenes and overall story, so it's understandable that it would take some time. But I don't think anyone expected to take thaaaaat much time...

The game was well received before being put on hold, but due to different circumstances from Tori, it went almost a year without a release. When it finally came out, turns out the amount of content didn’t justify the wait, and some users on the thread made it known, some less savory than others of course. A bunch of posts in that thread were deleted, which is probably why you can’t find them anymore. There was even a post by the developer under a new alt account, still not sure what was the deal with that. :KEK:
Many devs works on projects like this alongside normal jobs, so I get that some won't be able to release on regular intervals, but they should be transparent and more importantly not keep getting the patrons money when not delivering anything...

I've seen a lot of producers who say "bear with me, I've been busy, but something very good is coming soon". Some of these producers have an abandoned tag on the page of their games. Others have somehow managed to bring their game to the fans and give the fans who paid for it what they really deserved and made the perfect comeback. I hope Tori will be one of the second kind of producers. The anticipation grows every day. I hope she doesn't get crushed under it.

a lot of people are saying "i hope the negative reception won't crush the dev" as if this hasn't already happened. it happened when he released 0.5.0 and everyone complained about the yuri, the disappointing kazou interactions, the sidelining of terrace. people complained, the dev spent a month trying to salvage it with 0.5.2. but i believe this criticism is what broke the dev and made him start questioning the game.

so no, i dont expect the dev to react well when the remaster bombs. i think he's very sensitive to negative feedback and it is what caused these remasters in the first place.

i agree with others that this game is probably already all-but-abandoned. he set up his excuse in the last dev update: when this remaster is received poorly, he will use it as the excuse to move on.

That's what I noticed too, he's trying to be a perfectionist for some reason, there is no need for that as you can't make everyone happy no matter what you do, wish he just listened to the fair criticism and moved on applying those

Inb4 the update comes out, and he drops the game shortly after due to all the negative reactions. That happened to Girlfriend Unfettered a few months ago. Hopefully, he’s not weak like that,
That's the least impactful reason Ashen disappeared. He had some real life issues going on. Like an ex that was mentally F'n him during the time he took to take care of his parents. He never made that public. He even said he was close to un-aliving himself and depressed. I talked to him everyday for a while checking in with him. He seemed happier, and was helping me with some things as well, then one day he just went silent on everything. The negativity on F95 just added to his own real life depression, which sucks. I just hope he didn't actually go through with his plan...

That sucks. With the vast amount of lying devs I can see people being skeptical and disappointed with the updates, but that doesn't mean they should shit at the dev...
Since he seemed happier, let's hope he just left if all alone and went to enjoy his private life.

I'm fairly convinced he's going to quit. The writing is on the wall (And it isn't blurry ba dum tss) , discord announcements alluding to the continued development of the game being weighted by reception? So a large reason on why he's continuing the development is to get ego stroked for his project instead of... you know, wanting to actually do the project?

Which is fair, not everyone needs to have a thick skin, and he is getting barraged with hate if this thread is to be taken as example, I can only imagine how much bleaker the picture might be with actual supporters who feel entitled. I just hope brother doesn't let negative opinions over his reasonably well written funky ai cuckold porn game get to his mental health. And that he uses some of that supporter money to get a communication 101 course, because holy fuck Tori what a clusterfuck you dug yourself into.

According to what he wrote in Discord and Patreon there would be even more Ari content + new characters (for which I dislike remaster even more now), so I doubt that was the reason of remaster. He said it was due to his AI-instruments is outdated and it took him too long to create CG. Though that could be another lie, because now we see that it wasn't the case because he already spend more time on remaster than on previous updates all together.

He ever commented about the style change?
I don't know if it was intentional, but by the previews it seems different from the original.

i think the party update in 0.5.0 was a nightmare to render. if you look at the scene where ayumi is posing for the artists, when it tries to show the crowd, the characters are very rough. the scene where ayumi and ari walk up the stairs is also very clumsily rendered, and the fingering in the bar scene, again, very hard to get the AI to render something like that.
I am now something into AI myself and I could tell you that current pretty standard tools without any additional plugins and so on could do it pretty well. It wouldn't be as fast as simple generation of arts (generate single 768x1344 pic on RTX 3090 ~ 13 sec, apply hires and adetailer to fix artifacts with face and increase resolution to 1024x1792 ~ 25 sec.) because you will have to use inpaint tool to mark certain area on art and fix it through positive and negative promt, or use Photoshop to fix it mannually, but it isn't impossible and entire scene with several variation of CG could be done within a day. Dev said he also do some hand drawings, so it should be even more simple for him than for me, who have zero skills with photoshop and could only rely on basic AI-tools to fix generation mistakes through inpaint.

AI only knows what its been trained on, and "getting fingered from behind" is barely a thing, much less in costume and on barstools, etc.
Dunno. I was able to recreate pretty complex outfit from one light novel to the girl I generate almost perfectly within just one hour of trying.

Let's Consider this "Blurring the Wall" is abandoned, I am Glade to see Many New Project for Netorase Genre, Most of them are Ai Generated and Seem good quality, let's forget this Hypocrite Project and enjoy ourSelf for now, Can't Believe Tori took so long and Keep lying like this lol.

What is this talk about perfectionism? The game crumbled because of the weight of his own filler. It was a very cynical choice. Each time the main plot looked like it could begin, he added something to delay it. Airi, yuri, an entire ridiculous maze subplot for several patches. The first few chapters were so promising because it was just 3 of them.

Exactly. I love a good slow burn, but things need to progress with each update, not a bunch of random stuff appearing that only detract from the focus, which is the cuckolding fantasy. There is no need to complicate things, just adds lots of teasing and dirty talking while slowly but surely ramping up the NTS play from fantasy to reality. It really is that simple, we don't need whole subplots about non related stuff.

Like they go to some random ass maze and participate in some random ass ritual with random ass people and Stans on here say, "Yeah, it's great!". The entire part of the game makes zero sense. It was bad writing.

I thought I was the only who was confused by it. Hahaha
All of that weird party was very strange, and the four friends alone were better.
You can have good scenes in parties and public spaces, some will even be hotter because of the number of people there, but the one in the game just looked like a sex cult...

Everyone was confused by it, since it came out of nowhere. It's only purpose was filler in the form of really weak group exhibitionism and yuri. It is so bad that even Terrace noped out and vanished, so the netorase actually went backwards .....
