Is there gonna be any scissoring between the FMC and their female bull(or whatever they're called)? That would be great to see.

Sure, this seems a little undercooked, but it's just AI art. There aren't many expectations for it to meet, and it services the game for what it is. This is a visual novel and therefore I really don't care about the visuals, ironically. It's a medium meant primarily for storytelling. Other NTS VNs that use AI art have less polished graphics in comparison, sure, but they progress at a far better pace story-wise and update more frequently, while still maintaining compelling writing. I'd argue that quality writing is the most important aspect of NTS as a genre – something which I don't think this game handles very well either, but that's a whole different discussion.

I totally understand the desire to perfect your work, yes. But remaking a game which you were already in the process of creating is just absurd to me. Especially with how slow the process is. I'm not trying to besmirch the work of the dev or anything, just dropping my two cents into the ongoing argument. I'm simply not sure why a remake couldn't have just waited until after the completion of the game.

'Moo, bitch. I'm not the one getting milked tonight.' -Ari, probably, if she could read that

Appreciate the civil tone on the topic. I don't think there's anything I could say now that hasn't been said already that would convince those who are not yet convinced by the remake.

For me, the remake is just a better Visual Novel. It has better art, better writing, better story planning, better animations and it's just more fun to work on.

I could have kept patching and hacking my way through it but I think I would have gotten frustrated sooner or later. It wasn't an easy decision to make, and I certainly fucked up a few things along the way... but that's there and we are here now.

For me, the characters and their development are what make this story worth telling... not just rushing from one 'action scene' to the next or achieving sex poses/points like a scorecard. No fun in that for me.

I didn't start this cuz I wanted to make some money. I didn't even knew people were making money off this shit :LUL: I just wanted to do something fun to try the tech with a story concept I had. Different times.

Now I am taking it more seriously, within the free time I have available. We will get to the good stuff, and in a better shape compared to the OG.

Writing quality is subjective, of course, but I put a ton of effort into character development rather than just racing to the "action scenes".

I know there's over 200 pages of vile internet drama in this thread which I can't be bothered to research, but I'll just take your words at face value here from a neutral standpoint. My assumption was that honing your craft during development would work better towards a more polished remake after completion, but if the current arrangement works best for you, then there's nothing to complain about. I can't argue over the preferences an author has to the creation of their work.

My biggest gripe of the game is indeed the writing, mostly for the characters and slowburn which I think could be done better, but that's obviously all personal opinion. It could be that this game just isn't for me, and that's okay. Either way, I'm still interested in coming back every few months to check out what's new, so long as it stays within my interest of strictly NTS. Good luck on the development process.
