you must have clicked on the wrong sprite bud, he always has Debt, thats the defining feature for him. you are looking for the guy in the pink shirt.
If you missed him before her interview you can still get her later by scanning him at any time (he will appear near the exit just before end of shift), then calling her into the office for a talk... you will have missed the interview scene though (there is a fun Netori moment when he speaks to her through the door while you fuck her), I think that only has one chance of happening (though it might be worth waiting to talk to her till the last minute when he is in the restaurant).
If you try that please report back whether the scene can be salvaged.
