As I consume a game for free (and a great game!), I just hope the bones bring an update someday. If I don't pay anything, I can't demand it. but my friend, this game is amazing, if i could pay a thousand dollars a month i would pay it because i love this game.
Let's just wait patiently, one day the legendary update will be out :)

if they aren't able to wait for a porn game to get complete, they sure aren't able to wait for nothing else.
( here I am waiting for the elder scrolls 6 since 2012 :KEK: )

Now...why they are getting salty for something they aren't paying ? :WaitWhat:
If you're not supporting the project you can't demand something, its up for those that pay and even if they are paying and choosing to wait ( I don't know why though ) you can't judge them ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

If you want to fap that much go watch porn or something else.
Hmmm I dont like the mentally of where you put someone as who pays and doesnt pay
demanding means they really like something and want more its more of a praise than anything
so I dont really see the point of people talkin about the ones who cant wait
and lastly no ones gonna jerk off to some bullshit, we jack off cause its worth jerking off about
no class, no taste, you eyesore

I agree.

That some '' experienced '' studios release versions of rpg with boring stories, repetitive one of the other and with animations that contribute little does not have any goal.

It's a point for independent developers who, with little help, started hitting hard. I don't think Dr. Bones stands out so much for the graphics but for the story it offers and how it captivates you.
How it captivates me? Okay get your hipster, "hentai is art" lookin ass outa here. Im just here to fap

Comment in spanish that there is no possible translation because it is a very local joke of the developer's country, it has to do with moving forward with the project. : Dale papáaaaa, ponete las pilas, seguro que sos hincha de Peñarol. :LUL: (Fuera de broma: Demora lo que quieras pero terminalo, sólo te pido eso, es un juegazo)

Yeah!!! That incredibly "bright" comment was like a pack of yeast thrown into toilet. )))) Hey, doctor, bring more of those comments... It's no less fun then the Game itself. :ROFLMAO:

I would like to say something else, although nobody cares:

Patreon donations are supportive. Support for promises, support because you believe in the artist, support because you want to guarantee the flow of content that you like but ... How much should be paid? $ 1? $ 2? $ 5? $ 1000.5?

If you were paying an exorbitant sum each month, I would understand your anger. But if you pay the equivalent of a loaf of bread, a can of Coke ... I imagine you can surely afford it. A person who pays $ 25 and does not see results as the months go by, can stop paying ... Or he can go on to pay the minimum amount, which continues to be support but at the lowest cost. And something undeniable is that when the artist who is, takes 2-3 months without working on his game and deposits $ 500-10,000 in his bank, he knows that continuing to work that is easy money. How stupid would pass up that source of income?

Therefore, and this is the point I wanted to get to, investing the equivalent of 1 coffee, a loaf of bread, a bone dildo ... it is NEVER a waste. There are worse ways to waste your money than investing your money in the artist you like.
i can´t fully agree with your statement. the patreon money is not a gift but an investment to get something out of it and so it is understandable that people are angry that month after month nothing goes forward and instead of finishing one project he starts other projects and doesn´t even says regularly how the progress is.

i´m full of sincere thankfulness of the work that stands behin bones tales the manor, be it the programming, the artwork and everything else, but in the end i can understand when people say they give money in the hope to get a update to the game, not even the finished game but a little update, and month after month nothing comes around. for 60$ you can get a AAA game with enough content and gamedesign that hooks you for a full month or even longer. nobody can really compare the workload behind a AAA game with bones tales, but psychology is not reasonable.

In my opinion much of the grievance and hate would be avoidable if he gives weekly updates if and what he is working on OR he makes money goals like XXX,XX $ and you get a update in X months.

i love this game and if i hade the money i would pay not less than 20$ for the actual version, but only once, because there are enough timesinks out there with better or comparable content that are free or in the price range of 20$ to 60$ that are finished.

If possible. But...

There is a difference between AAA triples and games like The manor and it's the developers.

While large companies pay developers monthly for "uninterrupted" months of work. Patreons are usually individual people or small groups looking to create small games. Ubisoft, CDPR, EA, etc ... They are hives for developers and artists from different fields. That is why they move hundreds or even billions.

That is why I say that these investments are low risk. Because what an average patreon invests, I imagine it will be around the monthly price of a loaf of bread or a coffee. Of course, you have the right to be angry if month after month you do not see results. But these projects have many flaws: If Oseo Bones falls ill, who will replace him? If Oseo Bones has to work overtime at work, will he be able to come home and continue working at the Manor?

Large companies that produce triple AAA move millions, and therefore investors have much more power (As happened recently with CDPR and its Cyberpunk 2077)

No one is going to go bankrupt for paying $ 2 a month. At most you get angry and stop paying them.

This is no different than any other developer I pledged to. I set a certain max price I am willing to pay for and after that I stop pledging if they do not meet RoI to me. It really is not rocket science. I normally let out a little rage monkey and then just be on my way as I think I earned it. NergalsNest was a great example of this.

Do I want other people to not pay, no. Do I wish people had more common sense like me, yes. The developers are not entitled to my money.

I agree, partially.

As I said at the beginning, being a patreon means believing in the content creator or wanting to guarantee the flow of content. If over the months (and years) the updates are null or minimal. The foolish thing would be to keep paying.

I was referring more to the case of a potential developer who is simply having a bad time, and continuing to support him can encourage him to continue when he comes out of that bad streak.

-----------------

Nobody deserves our money for doing nothing. A cheat is a cheat, and I wasn't even trying to justify that. But that's not why small developers who are responsible and strive to provide content on a regular basis should not pay for this. Dont you think?
