I wouldn't call this a young game anymore, it's 7 years old already (3rd of February is the "birthday" for the game on this site), I can't imagine that many games make it this long. The majority tend to fizzle out and die much sooner but somehow this game has managed to chug along, despite the primary and most valid criticism being repeated time and time again, seemingly with increasing severity.
I can understand that people are tired of empty promises, believe me out of all the people here I must've been exposed to the most simply because I stuck it out for so long, there are many active users from the past that I used to see a lot of that are gone now. I remember years ago, after Doc started to have a lot of delays, although they were short compared to now, a lot of people were very agitated and angry with the delays, some people tried to defend Doc in some way or tried to mediate things and smooth things over a bit, and they were generally insulted for it. Even I got some of this but probably not as much as I wasn't as proactive in the process and tended to stick to easy to make and reasonable arguments, such as the scandal with reworks from the past.
But as I said before, this is a hentai game with incest and bestiality, and we're on a pirate site for those types of games, and worse. The only people that should really give a shit are those that put money into it, as they'd likely have a feeling of being robbed or scammed. However, everyone else needs to relax, this game will add zero value to your life. Becoming some sort of toxic fanboy for a porn game with a dev that is obviously milking his cultists for money is one of the most degrading and pitiful things anyone can do. I can't imagine how many grown men are here with the desire to see a cartoon dog have sex with a cartoon woman who later has sex with her brother is meant to draw out such intense emotion that we can literally look back through ~1000 pages and most of it is people shit talking. Like Jesus Christ people, find God and prostrate to the lord, get your priorities in order.
Part of me feels like it might happen and part of me feels like it might not, whatever happens I don't really care. If the update comes out I might not even jump directly into it as soon as I can and wait a bit. I often do this with games that I play, I'll watch the game, let it update multiple times by ignoring it for a year or more and then return to it and play multiple updates of content at once, and then repeat. Only for select games do I play most of the updates as they come out, but not always even then.
For this game, if the update comes out I might just leave it for a bit and see if any patches are released to fix bugs, or I might get into it a bit and update the guide for the first time since Nov 21, 2021 (that's right over 3 years with no guide update), problem is that updating the guide for such a large content drop will be annoying, I'll also have to make sure what I have now is up to some level of standard/preparation for the upcoming update.
