In the stream today, Doc said that he is hoping to get the update out in June, and more specifically before the 14th of June because that's the day of his birthday (even then he said to take it with a "bag of salt" rather than just a grain). That's assuming nothing goes wrong, he said however, that if June doesn't work that it will likely come out in July.

He's saying that the update is quite significant in size, and it seems like from what was shown in an image shared here previously, that he will make the jump to 0.30 for this update. He also made a comment that he is worried people would be unhappy with the update despite the size of the update due to how long it was since the previous update.

He's also went on to describe his desire not to fail the player base, and that he doesn't do it for the money, but because he loves doing this and wants the players to enjoy the game.

Lol. Lmao even. That would have been more believable if there wasn't... y'know, YEARS between updates. Years in which the payment WASN'T paused from all I remember. Updates with very little content in the miraculous times they come out. And most (if not all) of said content being remakes too. Hard to buy a word that good old Bones says nowadays.

So long as the quantity and quality of the content released is reasonable, than even such a long wait time is justified. We simply need to understand that the ratio between quantity of scenes, quality of scenes and time taken for the update (as well as considerations for other types of work that the game still needs) needs to remain within a certain range for it to remain reasonable. Personally I've never sent Doc any money so I'm benefitting regardless of how long I have to wait for the updates so long as the ratio I mentioned remains reasonable. And I usually fully ignore games for very long periods of time and allow for multiple updates to stack before I return to play the game, so even though waiting does irk me somewhat as this is my favourite game, it's not going to kill me either.

I remember that I had made a very long post, sort of ranting against all the pessimism on the sub and stating that Doc will have a sort of performance anxiety, and that will cause him to release the update not too long from now. And it seems that I am completely right as Doc stated he did have anxiety.

This seems to be fairly accurate, so long as Doc remains within the parameters that he claimed. He seemed to be genuine with what he was saying, and like I said he has performance anxiety as I had hypothesized he would in the past.

I'm totally take the bag of salt but hope that something comes out this year. People being unhappy is under statement................. and somehow i doubt the last statement. But if the whole update comes out and it has lots of NEW content then im relatively ok.

Well there are some things that aren't planned to be scenes, for example he mentioned in the recent stream that the Martha breast drop animation isn't actually a scene, it's just a transition for other scenes, basically you walk up to Martha and initiate sex with her, and you see her clothes come off. At least that how I interpreted what he said. So technically, presenting that as a scene as I am in my breakdown comment from before is wrong, I had assumed it was part of the "Martha Kiss & Grope" scenes, but it makes sense and is reasonable to be something else entirely.

Anyways, if this is the case, than it's the best example of a type of content that he added to the game that isn't actually a scene.

Despite that I do feel confident in what he was saying, as I had described before, he does have a performance anxiety, and I've also seen that he has made quite a lot improvement to his work. You all need to understand that the screenshots I take and share from the streams don't give his improvements enough justice, once the update comes out there will be no complaints about the quantity or quality of scenes.

And this is a big update for you? The last release is nearly 1.5 years ago. That's 1 scene per month. I don't count variations that much, that's just different layers of clothing and not some different poses or what ever.

Compared to updates of the past this is much larger in size, and the quality is also significantly better, just wait and see and I doubt you'll have any complaints about the update once you play it. I mean the animation style Doc is using now is nothing like the one he had in the past, back then he had these points that parts would pivot from, that made only very basic and limited animations. Now he has this new method, I don't even know what it's called but the quality improvement is gigantic, I mean a lot of people here wouldn't complain so much if they at least sat through some of the streams and saw the process, which I must admit, now that I've done that it's changed my opinions somewhat. I've had a somewhat pessimistic yet realistic view on things, while everyone else was just quite pessimistic, I now maintain the same view but with more considerations and understanding on what's going on behind the scenes, so my own pessimism has softened. I mean the Discord users are all quite positive and have a sort of community that talk and interact like they're friends with each other, a completely different "vibe" than what we have here.

Also the variations does include different poses (Vera and Dog scene is best example), the breakdown uses "Scene > Variation" when "Event > Scene > Variation" would be better to convey the information properly, this is something that I had usually stated each time I provided my list but forgot this one time.

This constant push that the only thing that matters about scenes is the quantity with no considerations for anything else, including quality is insane, as I've stated many times before there is a ratio to be taken into consideration. Quantity and quality of scenes + time and consideration for other work the game needs. From what I've seen in only a few stream my belief is that the update will satisfy the entire player base besides the 'extremists', I remember the rework for the Martha sex scene, where you follow her into her bedroom from the bathroom, had only a few ultra-pessimistic guys complain but everyone else was happy with it, and that was with mostly just improved art style and partial animation improvement, and that scene had a massive improvement. Now Doc has further improved since then for both quality of art and animation, with animation getting a much more significant improvement from what I've seen.

And as I've said before, this is a porn game, its not something so serious that a barrage of complaints is necessary, unless you put money into it than regardless of what happens you're getting free content, of a much higher quality than what was provided in the past.

I understand that his track record is bad, my primary belief as to why the update will come somewhat soon is because of the performance anxiety that he has. I also believe that to some degree he does want to perform well, but it's been such a long time of consistent problems and its not even a recent thing, but rather something that I have noticed going on for many years now, that this part of me that is hopeful for his own work ethic has largely been beaten into near irrelevance.

He already did two or three updates that had a lot of "Redo" scenes, it's likely that he will have to do more, for example the current Yoga scene is quite old, and he has actually gone through multiple waves of improvement since the scene was added to the game.

There is a possibility that he might redo scenes that he had already redone in the past, though the likelihood isn't as high, its likely that such work would be easier and less time consuming as he could theoretically simply edit the current scenes to give them a makeover so to speak. Although it's possible that he completely changes the scene altogether and redoes it from scratch, which he has done before.

It's insane to think that he has any motivation to actually work on the game. I've seen plenty of his fans create animations, scenarios, and pieces on a whim just because they had some interest in the game.
