Seems like the guy just duplicated Martha's sprite across five characters. It's a straight-up clone. I don't claim to be super original, but this lacks even basic unique styling or character design

Buddy, it was "supposed" to be updated months ago if that's the guideline you want to follow lol. Sage Advice here: Never Trust Bones.
If an update comes one day? Great. But don't hold your breath expecting "release dates" to actually be followed.

this might be a bit of stretch but i think... i think the reason the art style is "surprisingly good" is because he copied Bones art no? but thats just me though idk you dont have to believe me
