I'm just watching it devolve, really. It's entertaining because each "side" does have a valid point from time to time.
For example, I agree with the fact that Doc is a one-man army in this and the Survivor's Guilt project and that's totally respectable (yes, even if it's detrimental on the long run) but at the same time yes, I agree that it was his decision and he is dealing with the consecuences coming from it.
Also it's a really good point on saying that he either should not let his tongue slip and throw dates he's not sure he'll reach (as we've seen time and time again) but also I think being completely silent isn't a good approach either. I know, what you all means is to reach a certain middle point cause after all, his credibility suffers everytime he does so, but it's hard to make everyone happy cause you got the infamous two sides in here. The ones that want teasers, info, possible dates, etc. And the ones that won't shut up if he misses them, if he shows too many teasers, etc. I get everyone's point but it's kinda boring after a while cause you are all gonna bark one way or the other and it stops being funny or enjoyable.
Now I agree with everyone's right to have an opinion cause it's not something you really can police for being subjective in nature even if the points in it are objective, but if I may, the ones that should be getting at the Doc are the ones that are supporting him via Patreon and/or SubscribeStar cause they're the ones funding the project that has hit a stalemate many times due to delays and whatnot. Does that mean you should shut up about it if, like myself, you're a freeloader? Not really, cause as I said, we're not, we can't and we shouldn't police opinions but taking every goddamn chance to do so ends up being tiresome for everyone involved, especially if you're coming to this thread only for that purpose.
Yes, I agree that it's a problem that he hasn't really delivered on what is shown on his Patreon/SubscribeStar but if the ones supporting him monetarily are not willing to do anything, that's on them, really and none of us should fight their fight.
It's like what FIFA, NBA, NHL, etc. Fans have been doing. Those games have turned basically into casinos with little mini games but year after year the microtransactions are going up in sales and its been years since people (both fans and non-fans) have called upon the those that keep spending money on those annual updates and asked them to stop cause it has been pointless but they don't listen.
I know it's an extreme comparison but the point still stands: if the ones that are paying for content they're not receiving are OK with that, it's on them. To quote Ivan Drago in Rocky IV: "If he dies, he dies".

I write short stories for a lot of people IRL and it takes a lot more time than people would expect. Lets not forget that these people that makes content for us all needs to get food on the table and coconut oil to masturbate too you know... Life ain't free and if it takes this guy 1 year to give us a scene or two i'm content. Because let's be honest since his patreon got down it can't have been easy for him. Sure it was his decision but at the same time he wanted to be true to his work and i for one respect that more than if he had gone the other route.

I'm sure they understand that BUT they're commenting on it because the Patreon thingy, while burdening him with having to create a secondary project to don't abandon the page, it's kinda resolved and since he also has a SubscribeStar account working (after checking and fixing a mishap on his country's bank and whatnot), so really he's in fact getting money for both projects, that's why people are angry for all these delays cause he's actually making money from both platforms for like 2 or 3 months now I believe unless he's paused the monthly charges at some point (I believe he did that on December, can't remember correctly).Being mad about a video game you want to jerk off to for free* You mean?

But also, as I mentioned in my previous comment, people are still gonna bark one way or the other, so it's a lose-lose situation overall. I liked it when it was for the memes and a bit serious every now and then but now that most are dogpiling on each other (the ones having valid criticisms, the ones just getting angery, the ones defending, etc.) it's no fun, really.

Ah fair enough i must've missed some of the comments. I'm fairly new to the forums here. Usually i just downloaded games and if i liked something enough i would just go to their patreon and subscribe.

Personally i'll never understand complaining over stuff like this when it's basically handed out for free. There are way too many other games on this site to play to waste time raising pitchforks because one of them didn't come out when you expected it to. Just download and play another one. If that doesn't work go to pornhub. It's like having a feast of breakfast food laid out in front of you but choosing not to eat until dinner because that's when steak is served. Yeah the steak might be what you really want but all this other food will keep you sated until the steak is an option.
That made no sense dude.
This is more like being promised steak, and then not getting it, then being promised steak again and still not getting it (rinse and repeat that for a long time, while constantly being promised the steak will come next dinner. Like the breakfast creator has nothing to do with the steak.).
And true, complaining about things isn't going to do much instantly, but it does deter people from continuously doing the thing that people complain about them doing, as it adds pressure and shows new people that the person isn't trustworthy as he/she has broken his/her word numerous times.
So in a sense the complaining works a bit like a sort of documentation regarding broken promises/lies, and does have its use.
And you can clearly see that a lot of people have been disliking the long waiting periods with low/no communication from oseo bones, as a lot of people have unsubscribed him over the duration of this creation period.
And if he had been more consistent i think he would have had even more supporters now than when he peaked in the past.
As a last note, complaining about other people complaining is even more strange, than complaining about broken promises.
Like, what will complaining about other people complaining do?
I'm asking that as some people seem to say it is nonsensical to complain about a porn game, but they don't seem to realize that complaining about someone complaining about a porn game, would be even more nonsensical then.
Also, if you have to have been a supporter to complain, then that doesn't matter either, as i was a supporter for a long time, until he started making all these false dates up.
Like he promised a release all the way back in October, that's a long time ago.
If he started to be consistent again and be true to his word though, then i wouldn't mind forgiving him and supporting again, but that doesn't seem likely at this point.
And i suppose my opinion is "valid" since i was a supporter before, and was for a good long while. (from April 2018, to October 2019 with varying donations between 1, 5 and 10 dollars).
And as a former supporter (and still a supporter to several other creators) i don't get the argument of "if you don't support, you can't complain" on a PIRATE forum.

Guys guys guys... guuuuys... EVERYONE is entitled to their own opinions and the right to express them. So let everyone speak their minds. As I said before: As long as they are civil there's no harm in it... If that wasn't the case, the mods would take care of it. (I guess)
The only thing I will say in my "defense" is this:
I don't make promises (I just say dates that I don't meet because I'm that bad at dates. But I will stop doing that( for sure this time)). I'm NO professional developer, I'm NO professional artist. I'm NOT a company. I DON'T provide a service. I'm in NO obligation whatsoever to make the game if I just wanted to stop.
I'm just a guy that one day started making games. I DON'T have a perfect method and I'm extreamly flawed and I improvise a lot...
And YES, I make money out of it, not because I charge for my work, but because some fine folk decided to donate, and that way I can stay inside (i'm a known introvert) and avoid working shitty jobs for shitty people... and every Patreon/Subscriber can stop anytime they want and also keep getting the game when is public. I DON'T have plans to become popular or succesful as other developers, and if I just wanted to make lots of money, I would drop my current projects and make another STS rip-off (because I know I could make a good one).
I (mostly) enjoy this, but if I need or want to stop, I will without much thought. If people want to complain... be my guest, But don't you think even for a moment that I'm obligated to do anything I don't want to do.
Regardless, the way I see it, the ones "angry" enough to "talk that talk" are the first in line to download, play, and fap to the updates... Which I take as a compliment in itself.
PS: I don't actually "like"replying to this stuff, you know?... it takes part of the charm out of all of this of making porn games.

If people are impatient it means that you have created something good. People use the internet to take off their frustations so don't take it too personal. Probably even if you do all the things correctly there will always be that guy that will criticize you and the way you work. Try to do your best and the majority of us will be happy.
But now the real question that is fixed in my head... Usually devs fap to their games?

The bad thing is that u actually make dates and u promised last year that u would stop making dates and yet u didnt so just stop giving dates just give an estimated produce time like it will take 3 months that is it, Its true u not a professional and u are not obligated to do anything, but u say u dont charge for ur work but u do cause patreons pay for early acess of the game so somehow they paying for ur work, u saying are extreamly flawed that is for sure cause u dont hve a great system u have a great issue with management of time which cause this delays and its being like this for quite awhile, but for me i already know the process and i dont complain alot cause im getting use to the delays and that is the one thing that makes me not patreon/subsc, even though i did some fan-art's to ur community has a gift for how much i enjoyed the game, i stopped pretty much cause there wasnt alot active people and felt like the draws and montages i did and future ones were just kinda waste of time even though i like doing them,
Now apart from the thing above, screw that...
Just try has hard u can to try to figure a system to improve uself more, make an agenda like im doing it improved work system, like today i do this and that in the other day this and that cause i feel like u pretty much doing everything random that is why it gets messy, try has much has u can to communicate about the updates u dont really need to say this update gonna hv this scene no, give simply info like in this update im going to do content with this characters and it will have interactions between this characters, if there is like easter eggs etc having info to keep people wondering and feel excited cause u keep everything hidden and u dont communicate and trello is not update has much and alot people dont follow that, people will avoid ur game and will think alot of thing like "its abandonned?" "is this game still around" and some people that been lost in time comeback and see a for this example a date and its delayed people will complain and that is the system and u cant change that but to improve ourselfs to do better.

Now for the F95 community im not Doc's white knight, i just like his games, if i need to be honest 100% with the devs i will cause if u kiss-ass the devs that have flaws they will never improve they will doing their stuff without realizing their mistakes or flaws, complimenting them for the content and how the update was on-time it will help the dev seeing "oh if i do this correctly people dont complain", i understand alot of u complaining even i was dissapointed cause i hv been waiting for a Manor update for along time, delays happen for me i only start to really complaing when its 2nd time delaying, in this case Doc only delayed a week we can wait that and beside for what i see on trello if its all this content going to be in the update its worth the wait.
(There is might be some erros on my writting, im writting this on my phone while im in the hospital waiting, nothing serious).
