Glad to see this forum still has the same diversity of peoples as before I went away.

Now, to celebrate my comeback to this fine establishment... let me do some comebacks, as I did in the good ol' days:




More stuff happens in real life than in a "virtual" life... assuming one has a life to begin with. But I get the suspicion. Sadly There's nothing I could say to convince people of stuff happening in my life... neither I'm inclined to try. I have no intentions to share my personal life, never had (At least not the things that matter) That's the whole point of this boney persona I created.

But again... I get it.



YES... I spent all this time drawing a single background for a scene already in the game. I mean, I would never rework the whole scene and add state variations like I did in the past... that would be out of character for me...

I mean... yeah, probably... bugs are bound to happen in almost every project that doesn't use a dedicated tester group. But that's why the bug-fixes always come a day or two after the update release.

I'm really sorry if my imperfection is a bother. I'll try to consume an android or two to reach my full potential (points to whoever gets the reference).

This man really said "let me do some comeback like the good ol days" like some bad ass making an intro. The quality of these "comebacks" are really on par with your releases, they take long and dont make fucking sense. Man i used to support you the first few months like 1.5 years+ ago and i just gave up. Just stay in your echo chamber of a discord.

I mean if you see my history I dont necessarily post much. I saw the latest release of your "other" game and thought "oh wow doc released a game" a fucking miracle, and thought to check on the main game. And here we are. Youre saying like I WANT you to reply to my comments when i asked you to just stay in your discord. I mean its obvious english isnt your first language but Seeing how ridiculous and corny your comeba- ahem replies are i just couldnt help it man .

I don't think anyone is trying to own anything here... specially not me. I was just replying to the most noticeable comments (on these few last pages( I really don't want to read the ones I missed)).

Now, if you think the "tone" of my response was sour or ill willed that's another thing. Sadly I can't personally give words a sound over a screen... that's up to the reader. But, as most people known, I'm a ray of sunshine crossed with a bag of rainbows, and my will is always to be funny (my understanding of funny, that is)... But humor is subjective.

Now, about the crazy part... In a world where "being crazy" is the resort of people trying to feel special... I gotta say, sadly I'm as sane as they come.

I'm not your supporter... I want to mention only 1 thing that has been bothering me from the start, just take it with a grain of salt.
You made a plan with trello but, I've never seen you toogle any of them to show how much progress with the game and then it's suddenly an update. I'm certain few days before current update it's still zero progress or maybe I'm missing something. anyway, Thanks for your hardwork.

Guys, I don't mean to offend anyone, but I'm flabbergasted about the amount of heat Oseo Bones receives for letting this game slide.

After all, he has made us a very enjoyable gift. Some might not like some of the particular preferences it tries to satisfy, or the half-finished state it's been in since the dawn of time (or at least it feels like that). But it still is a gift, so I feel that only a reaction within the range from gratefulness to indifference would be an appropriate one.

Imagine a person just giving you 20 bucks for nothing, and promising you to give you another 20 next week. If the very same person now returned a whole month later, and gave you only 10 bucks instead, I'd still consider his actions to be friendly and kind.

I too am disappointed about the crawl the development of this game has come to, I too got my hopes raised by Bones overly optimistic promises, and I too consider some of his comments to be a bit snarky. But I still don't feel entitled to demand anything from him, since he's given me a fun game, and I in return have given him nothing. That's why I think that sharing my hopes and inspirations with him is perfectly fine, but criticizing him without constructive input, or at least intent, is not.

i come here because i wanted to double check the release date for the next update and i see all this....

I mean as some one who writes A LOT. I understand jumping between projects. even for myself i will switch between one or two projects when writing. espcially a useful tool to combat writers block.

I would rather have a creator who splits there time between a few projects or one that takes a while but will do monthly updates.
then one that has one project then takes almost 4 years to release an update. which hasn't been the case here at least from my understanding.
while true I prefer the manor to survivor's guilt I'm not about to knock the creator for splitting time between projects as long as this one isn't abandoned for three years.

tl;dr
there are way worse things out there then splitting time between projects.

Jumping between projects? Survivor's Guilt is a game that JUST got an update after being abandoned for two fucking years. This isn't a case of juggling time between two projects, it's just piss-poor laziness. Even if that were the case, that's the whole purpose of creating side storylines isn't it? You don't go and just start working on an entirely different project... ESPECIALLY when you're charging people monthly for it.

Doc how can you come back here like that? You respond to a few people (rightfully) criticizing your behavior with a few remarks and an attitude all the while ignoring the fact that every point they're making is valid? Not to mention you didn't even tell us what you have in store for the future. "Hey guys I'm back, also fuck you haters, bye now" is all you have to say after all this time? So... Everytime I write something somewhere it HAS to be meaningful? Can I just pop in and just chat it up? Just because I'm a dev I need to make every piece of interaction game related? Before I used this forum to promote my projects, I was actually an user (by a different username). Why does everything I say has to be either on point or unnecessary... Let me live, man.

Just because I don't go around using curse words and insulting everyone that I have an issue with and prefer to use a bit of humor (even if is not everyone's humor), it doesn't mean that I try to be a "badass"... I'm just doing my thing, which I prefer instead of just antagonizing people for the sake of drama. If something is lacking in our world today is people trying to not get "triggered" by everything other people say, and just be light.

And... I never denied that my timing is is poop (it is kinda of a trademark right now) And even if I try to explain why this time was worse than other ones, people like you would just say I'm making excuses and milking... and everything will be the same as it is now. About the money... if I had a day job that would keep me feed and under a roof. I would pause the earnings, But if I did it right now it would be idiotic (but ethically correct according some people). I prefer for people to just decide for themselves if they want to pause or cancel their pledge... That's what this whole "donation" system is for.

I never commissioned the song... people made it, I loved it, and I added to the game.
But yes, I kinda like myself a lot, And I think that's healthy. Everyone should like themselves. It would make this world a bit less shittier.
About the "superstar" thing... I would like to you to find a single sentence in which I call myself that, or even insinuate it.

Never felt offended by what people say over the internet... but I do like to (sometimes) reply to people who try to do it... like just now.

And I never even knew the other gamer had the "abandoned" tag until someone mentioned in Discord. And by that time I was already working on it. But you won't believe me either way, so why to bother.

I did get reached by a moderator of this forum asking me if the game was abandoned a while back. Which I said "no", but if he had to tag it like that, go ahead... it is their rules, nothing wrong with it. I think he actually kept it untagged for a while, which was a really nice gesture.

And I will finish my stuff when I finish my stuff... You are right that people don't owe me anything... But I sure don't owe people nothing. You may consider this like a pride or egotistical comment if you want.

All in all... I'm a guy who makes porn games... people can play them or they won't. There's no reason grow shit out of proportion.

You make yourself a victim, but we are the victims, we donate to you, we were waiting for updates, and after years we own this? Grown-up person acting like pretty blunt child. You don't have to explain yourself in words, deeds over words, but you speaking again and again about nothing. Do. Deeds. And then people can blame you or not, but there will be something, not your worthless words. "I'll be on my way, have a great one, everyone!" - you always have time to escape, like years ago, but do something at least.
