The name 'bug' is more of a memory issue. I've gotten it many times. It can actually happen in any instance where there's a text infobox that players can type in. Name, surname, or even item amount when buying or selling. When creating a character, the game occasionally does not let me manually change their name. When completing the inn job, the game randomly softlocks me when working the shift. When you lose a fight against wolves or bears by running out of energy, the next screens tells me that I was robbed with no button to continue, softlocking me. When escaping a battle with wolves or bears, the game tells me I've been robbed and softlocks me.
The simple fix is to just minimize the page, and then reopen it. It's cleared the issue up for me every time.
Mildly annoying, sure. But easily worked around.
Sort of. From my testing, there's not really much damage 'types' in game. Just damage. However, using a weapon that you're more skilled in does seem to deal more damage per hit, with higher accuracy as well. I mean, it's a bit weird that I can deal just as much damage with my girly little fists as I can with a two hander or a magic wand, but.. on the other hand it does let me, or other players, play the way that they want to play without feeling like we need to min-max.And does equipping a weapon change the damage you do against enemies?
That doesn't happen every time. I've learned to simply drop a quicksave at the beginning of the game, and if something wonky happens I just load it back up and usually skate right past whatever wonk came at me. Had one where I walked out the front door on peasant start, and instantly lost my virginity. Was.. interesting to say the least. But, a quickload fixed it. Next time I went out the front door, there was no event that played. Not sure this last one is a bug or not, but during the encounter with the stranger after first leaving the house after creating your character in the peasant life, "Intimate Moments", the game says that something seems to prevent the encounter from happening
I sort of think it's a memory thing. If the/an event plays, and then you load a previous save.. I think the game doesn't register the load and assume the event still played, preventing it from happening again until you completely close and reopen the game.
