I read all the thread but I didn't understand everything, can I download the game from the first message (the one I just quoted)? Are we agreed that the first message has been edited for the download to work? Or do I have to install the mini patches that have been scattered throughout the conversation?

Then download script fix patch then extract and copy it in game folder.
Ok thx! Once I've done that, which of the 3 do I click on? Because the 1st one is an .exe, which scares me a bit.

This is the error I find before using locale emulator, and the one I find after. It's like it's asking to also change the regional settings of my entire system.

Download from win new links then before extracting the archive make sure your system locale is in Japanese.
OKAY. Attached image. everything was in Japan configuration. The system was rebooted. And the game was downloaded again, and then unzipped

The text seems garbled mess. Did you turned off Utf-beta something while changing locale.

No. From the region settings, I have changed the country and regional format. I also modified the region in the administrative settings (it can also be accessed from the control panel but it was not my case). I can see that UTF-8 Beta is active. Could you do a test disabling this?
