VN - Ren'Py - Completed - Boxed In [v1.0] [badbod]

this game is absolutely incredible. pushed so many great buttons and some of the setups, challenges and reveals were extremely well done.

my only recommendation to the dev would be to include a path that plays up the "forced" aspect a little more. its hot that some of the girls want it for sure, but a few characters really struggling and only doing it because they're forced would also be hot for a different fetish and more variety. i really like the idea that a few characters start far more innocent and take a lot longer to really get into it. but maybe that's for the next season of BOXED IN with a brand new family and even crazier challenges.

Story is pretty decent but it gets ruined by everyone wanting to fuck their dad/brother from the get go and some MC has already fucked which makes the hole plot of the story about being trapped and forced a bit pointless when its something they all seem to want or already doing.
Its all about incest so you need to have that fetish or you shouldent touch this one.

I saw some reviews calling this well paced but in truth its really not, its a mindless fuckfest and goes from 0-100 in 5 mins so "well paced" no not in any way, for those just wanting the pure fuckfest games you will love this since everything moves forward extremly fast and without any real story to it, just jump from one sex scene to the next.

MC gets trown into a box and apprently hes hole family is in the complex as well, MC then meets them all little by little and its all about MC fucking them or doing something sexual with whoever none stop.

Theres no choices in this one and you might as well call it kinetic novel, sure you get choices to say no but since game is all about do it or get killed you dont really have a choice in anything, you can say no you dont want to but it will still happen every time.

Personaly im not into the kinetic novels and i like to have more choices so i wasent a big fan of this one.

As for the cast, some look good others are ugly as fuck and thats one of the main issues when you cant turn anyone down and your forced to fuck someone you find ugly then it becomes a turn-off which is never good for an AVN.

Animations needs a bit of work, they arent all that bad but to short and there needs to be alot more dialogs while animation is going and not just a few clicks on the mouse.

Theres no music which makes it a bit boring, granted there are a few sound effects but its just not enough.

Alot of the reviews look fishy to me as well, this is not anywhere near a 5 star game and yet so many gives it 5, i expect quite a few to be fakes since alot arent active users either and just has a single review.

This is the developer's first game as a hobby, and he has definitely managed to make things interesting from the get-go! I strongly believe there's a need for more interesting settings, themes, environments, etc.
Obviously 3D modeling and animation are such fields that something could always be better, especially when it comes to indie/solo developers. But I have no specific complaints about Boxed In so far. Hope to see a lot more from the dev!

Boxed In...

A cube, if you will. Or, loosely based on, or at least is somewhat influenced by the 'Cube' - which is a great horror movie.

And I tell you what, the basic premise works fabulously well with this VN's incestuous nature - do it, or die...!

If you are a fan of incest, then you'll definitely want to check this out. It is far from perfect, though.

The pacing is pretty quick - which is okay. But, the game would be better if things were slowed down, building up the 'tension' before release - if you know what I mean .

I did think the premise - to force incest, in this case - was watered down and had a lesser impact as it seemed many of the characters were totally up for it, or had already fantasized about it. OR, already doing it! Bit of a shame, if you ask me.

The H-scene animations were mediocre, but overall, I did think the dev has a bit of an eye for making H-scenes in general. Just slow the pacing down a bit. There be fap material here.

Sound is grossly mis-used here - that is, no music, not even background noise. Just the occasional SFX for a door opening, for example.

'Tis good for an incest game, but could be better, much better. And it is an average VN overall.

This Box[ed In] is one you may like to jump in and out of, just for the fun of it. Because, you can.

A good game that you definitely don't want to pass on if you are into incest. Slighty slower pacing and it would be a 5/5 for me, but that's personal preference.

I don't have any big criticisms of the game, really. It could be doing several things slightly better, but not enough to be brought up in a review I think. It's not perfect, but it's good and I enjoy it.

If you’re into incest, you don't want to miss this one. The setting and story are really interesting, and the pacing keeps you locked in It has just the right mix of twists, and the dialog feels natural. The character interactions are also engaging. I highly recommend it, and I’m excited to see where the plot goes next.

Normally I don't rate this high on games still in development, but this one deserves it. Hats off to badbod.
Now into the review:
First off, DO NOT PLAY THIS GAME IF YOU ARE NOT INTO INCEST. It is hard core and the entire game revolves around it. No 'step-sister' or anything like that, multiple twists, although some of them you can tell are coming/ foreshadowed.
It seems to that the choices actually matter. (Shocking, I know, for a VN.)
I though, I will say this to the dev...
What was with that warning with anal? I get it was to be kind, but seems a little pointless since if you are alright with incest you are probably going to be fine with anal.
But I can't say more without spoiling the game.
Just know the renders are great. The story is good, and I am excited to see how this plays out.

Great game. Story is very erotic, straightforward with no pretentiousness . Updates are regular and the game is free and requires no patron or subscribers. Models in the game are hot, and the dialogue is flirty and erotic. What more can yo ask for?

A man who is being held against his will discovers that his entire family is also being held captive, and the only way to unlock the door puzzles is by performing lewd sexual acts with his family members, which include his wife, sister, niece, and three daughters.

This game is one cum splattering sex fest, whereby we learn that every single one of the family members is obsessed with having incestuous relations. Fortunately, the protagonist is given some type of sex drug so he can keep pace with all the horny women.

Pros:
1- Terrific incestuous sex fest.
2- Great renders and sex animations.
3- Beautiful characters, including Milf's and teens.
4- Fairly captivating story, with a few "what the fuck" moments thrown in

Cons:
1- Not that I wanted it to end, but it does seem to drag on a little.

It is basicallly an incest speeed run, in the guise of saw style confinem,ent compulsions. Personally I think MC in itse,lf is the culprit.
The novelty of this game wears of after the three sisters readily give blowjob, it kills any incest taboo it is trying to achieve.

The game story is held together by great design but let down by writing which kills all the tension that is suppposed to be their in such a relationships, it forgoes all such thing after first door. Also your horny actions have no results it feels all pointless after I point.

Brilliant premise. Excellent execution. I'm on version and there is more content than many full games. This one is definitely worth trying out. I'll be keeping an eye on this developer! I imagine there could be some great sequels using similar concepts.

This is everything I wanted from a game like this. Quick pace. Doesn't have a complicated story/narrative. And it has some nice animations to go with it.

This is what I wanted White Cube to be. A smooth experience that doesn't try to through curve balls at you. The choices you make kind of matter and don't at the same time. When I say that I mean the only thing that changes are some scenes that you may miss and in turn some dialogue changes. To me that is great since you can go back and see what the other option is and if you like it you can continue, but if you don't you can go back and play on from where you originally changed your choice.

The story at times can be intriguing and mysterious while in other times it feels like the sex/lewd scenes came up before the narrative had a chance to build. However, had said that I like that a bit more than going full narrative and having little to no sex/lewd scenes like some games do.

The only thing I can say badly about this game and is more of a nitpick than anything is there are no sounds for anything. No sounds during sex scenes and no sound when the doors open. That is more of a nitpick than anything, however I can also understand if it’s too complicated to implement sounds this early in development if you have never made a game before or if you don’t have enough time to source the sounds.

All in all, I really enjoyed this game and WILL be coming back for future updates. Seeing that this is only the initial release I can’t wait to see what the dev has in store, and I wish him or her the best of luck.

As a game it's interesting but I can't shake the idea there's not much more to it.

So you wake up in a box with a random lassie, or so it seems. As the plot progresses there's an expectation that a task is completed before you can make your way to the next room. The task is pretty much some form of sex.

The pacing is fast which is good as you could lose DAYS of dialogue between the characters talking about the morality of what they're doing (oh no, I mustn't put my penis in you, that would be ever so immoral!?! What am I to do??) and that would become a slog but at the same time the pace in which everyone accepts it means the plot progresses at a breakneck speed. There's very little to work out from a plot point of view even after a few scenes. So it's nice as it's something a bit different but I'm curious to see where the game actually ends up, if indeed anywhere. There could be a few more updates of just random scenes and then that's it, or they could try to explain everything but if they did. All the characters are now keen to just do the thing to get to the next room so there's not much peril as far as I can see. The line between plot and smut possibly could have been better threaded maybe? But really it's an interesting concept that doesn't take the time to stop and breathe. Maybe that's by design? Maybe the story is done in this way to mirror the claustrophobic nature of the setting? Or maybe I'm reading too much into a story for a game which involves naked ladies?

The longest time in the game, the text and the scenes for a version 0.3 are great.
I really enjoy and look forward to the next releases.
Maybe a little predictable but great.
Extra point because the selections offer you different scenes and make it reproducible, but you also don't have the feeling that you are leaving something on the way

Art is good, plot is kinda dumb, writing is good enough to make the plot not annoying.

the premise is what you'd expect. people locked in a room, gotta do lewd stuff to get out.

I appreciate the game quickly gets over the trope of:

• we gotta do X to get out!
• NO! gross that's sex!
• but we gottaaaa
• oh ok

Game is short right now, but long enough to get a feel for it.
There are times where characters are with each-other off screen, and I think that is a missed opportunity to clean up some of the dialog. But overall the dialog isn't bad.
