Yeah the amount of images used to make the animation scenes does unfortunately inflate file size despite being this early in release, though luckily it seems its not inflating at a crazy rate going forward (at least I hope and will do my best to not make it an insane file size).

Why store them as a bunch of png's? It's the second the most size inefficient way to store animations right after storing them as bmp's. Doesnt rpgmaker support other image formats like webp or jpg? And I definitely saw some games using mp4 video files.

Because for some bizarre reason rpgmaker MZ only accepts PNG's, absolutely no idea why tbh.
Tbf there might be a plugin I could find to make it use JPG's But yeah for some reason its PNG or bust by default for MZ and MV (at least was when I was trying others when I first was putting art in.)

Once the prologue is over (so in the next version) you can play the rest of the game as only of them if you want to (Both will be available but you can just choose to only ever play one and do their content). So if you only want male protag then you'll be able to just ignore all of Elora's stuff after the prologue. She will still show up in Cam's content of course, but she wont be the one you're controlling if you only ever do Cam's stuff.

While I am not a fan of rpgm games, the premise is really interesting. I will give it a try when there is more content.

Rpg makers games (at least mz and mv) run on web (browser) engine, so they definitely support other image formats. It just rpgmaker strictly wants them to be named as *.png. You can put jpegs in the images folder with their extensions changed to *.png, and the game will happily open and show them.
Anyway, the best way to reduce the game size would be to figure out how to use video files. Magical girl lunas misfortunes, Dead end collosseum, corporate slave succubus and inma sugoroku 2 in my knowledge use *.webm video files for animations. They store them in 'movies' folder. If you wish you can take a look at them to see how they did it. I don't insist , but it may be useful if/when you decide to add more animations

I also made the decision to remove the turn based combat and make it auto resolve when making contact with enemies to remove any grinding aspect and keep it focussed more on the corruption and decisions.

So this is basically a VN, why bother using rpgm then.

As someone who like to play NTR when you can avoid it, it's interesting.
I like the design, i like the fact that we can play both side or play one of the protag without knowing much about what's happen.

-Even if i like to save the day and avoid NTR stuff, i like to have the thrill of not knowing yet if i've succeed. Like trying to find the girl/guy before it's too late, something like that. when the lover tried to fight for each other, despite the struggle and the slow sex corruption who happen to the FMC (or even the MC sometimes ! ).

-I could also be so cool to be able to play the girl who save the MC, it's not that common that game allow that.

I dunno if this game will have something like these two ideas but even without it, it could have something else interesting. So good luck with that projet to the dev!

I see this comment alot on other games with story focussed rpgmaker stuff too and I do get where you're coming from I think theres still plenty to justify rpgm without combat personally.

There will be segments avoiding enemies to sneak in, various side quests and items and hidden areas with things to collect that cna be sold or used to male thing easier or alter scenes. Not to mention i feel wandering around a crafter world able to walk to the npcs and things is alot more immersive, especially for the variaty of quest and content you cna choose from isntead of a MASSIVE decision menu of go see x or a static map to click on. And i personally dont think said content would be anywhere near as engaging without being able to be in the world.

A huge point as well, Being totally honest, is solid background art is really expensive for what I'd want for each scene and id need ALOT of backgrounds for the different scenes in this game, so to make it a pure vn of the same quality I cna make in rpgm I'd be unironically doubling my cost of production, if not more to start, while takkng away mechanics and engagement.

This wasnt meant to be as much of a wall of text as it came out Its also in no way meant to be a defensive post, I just wanted to reasonably explain why this and other games might make the choice to use rpgm but not use combat.

I am planning to add the option when corrupt enough to "hand over" certain characters to the demons which will lead to them having sex with others. Other then that its very dependent on the character and what you do with them.

The femdom isnt in yet but you will start seeing some in the next update. Charlotte (the blonde) 100% is alot more dominant in her scenes to start with so I think you will be happy there. Lady Redmane (the redhead) is heavily lezdom focussed corruption so yep here will be lezdom too.
