Originally their race in Japan is called "Inma" and there wasn't ever a distinction between male and female, it came later... inma can assume properties based in the tastes of whoever they are preying, be it a man or a woman. Only later they started dividing as male/female versions while true inma could in essence, grow any g*nitalia they want/need lols... so using inma/succubi as a race can be both and their appearances? Up to taste i guess.

Fun fact: Succubus as a word means "One who lies under" roughly, and Incubus means "One who lies on top" roughly, not any specific relation to gender or sex.
