Unfortunately "shoddy" in this case is just another mtl. 072 translations are all MTL, and if they try to claim they aren't, they're full of it. If by some miracle they aren't machine translations, they're the worst manual translations I've ever seen.

This was a bit concerning, did the game also created a .exe on %appdata% folder for anyone else?
Nope, only typical file on different folder "\AppData\Local\Breeding City Welcomes You!\User Data\"
What's interesting is that a few hours earlier there was a different download link

Yes, exactly the same. This happens when you enter this location and talk to the manager. Also, several scripts are launched in the background, one hung longer than the others, managed to catch it in the task manager: "AutoIt v3 script". I understand that it might not have anything forbidden, but the fact that unknown scripts are running in the background when the game starts is clearly not reassuring.
And considering that we both have the same "Lumma stealer" in Windows Defender, I would strongly advise against downloading the game.
Seem to create a Trojan file in %APPDATA%/Local/MySupergame/updates as "update.exe" after a while of playing. Windows Defender flags it and blocks it...

So Just to clear a misconception some of the guys had some pages Ago, all of the girls and women in this sequel are new characters with none from the previous title returning. and It makes sense, It has been at least 16 years since the first game.
One of the breeding candidates of this game, Sayaka(The silver haired girl with Aki in front of the convenience store) is the daughter of the first game protagonist. The mother should be obvious as she is the only silver haired girl in the first game, but in case you forgot or din't play It(you should, specially before playing this one) The mother is Chisato, one of the schoolgirls and one of the two that actually Begin living with the protagonist. Good to know his genes are still soaring far and wider(lol), now impregnate Sayaka and give the previous protag and Chisato a grandchild

I reported the thread and have asked the uploader who uploaded the new update to chime in if this is a false positive or not. The fact it downloads/unpacks an exe file to appdata is concerning...

This is not a false alarm, that's for sure. Other infected games behave in the same way - they download an infostealer, which in turn steals your data (logins and passwords). There is a whole thread about this here. Everyone who downloaded and launched the game should run a full scan, especially of the %appdata% folder. It's best not to launch the game anymore and wait until a clean version is released. Information about the virus

Yeah thats definitly the same Virus they try to put in games all the fucking time now.
Those are the same ones but different names. There is a second game, I myself tested that one and even played it, I assume it has a timer again. Lets see if I can find the malicious code.

Guys Sorry but this English patch/version(or the other languages KR, CN) IS not going to appear on DL site, It was made by 072 for the game(like the machine translations DL site made for the first game), so they are exclusive. I think 072 will be one to publish on Steam later, so It will be a exception( well, unless you sail the seas like here) and the Steam version Will probally require a patch.
So what happened? Easy really... Lolis! I mean... They were one of the causes. When the first game launched, the developer only knew japanese, his mother tongue. Without DL site the machine translations would never have happened, and to him this was amazing! Koreans, Chinese and everybody else (english) would be able to play his game and the translations are also free! Really great! DL site even made a english banner for his game(How things changed...). Let's make The sequel!(It took 3 years meteo!!!)
Meanwhile:
You guys already know the gist, so The effects on DL site:
1-no visa or Mastercard available to buy anything on DLsite(at least not directly, DL goes around this by letting you purchase points{1 point = 1 yen} on their online bookstore site and you receive a code via email that lets you Retrieve your points on the site(redeem code) and then you can buy things) i must remember you guys that DL site is a japanese Steam(dmm too), they do not sell only erotic games or manga, this was a punch to them.
2-region block, i don't know how many of you know this, but If you are outside of Japan, you will not see all of the DL site content, specially incest and Lolis and almost anything with schoolgirls or rape/molestation. Some old things were removed from view outside Japan while others stayed(meteo.H First game is still available to anyone, but The sequel is Japan only, meaning you must be in Japan or use a VPN set to Japan to see and buy it, i use proton) but It has been almost a year that anything New with these contents is region locked to Japan.
So unfortunally Breeding city will not get a english patch on DL site, so what happened was that meteo or the guys from 072 talked and asked to put the game on their site and they would give It translations. Fucking amazing to him really.
I bought his first game on DL after playing It from here and knowing i needed to suport him, bought the sequel at launch without thinking twice and was wondering If we would get a MT patch, It got here with horrible MT and i simply decided to keep using my phone. meteo announces The 072 version and the translation looks good! I bought It a week Ago(my arms say Thanks), is my Second bought game on 072.
I Also would like to put here the first game i bought on 072. The Second time i bought It too. And this one was not simply region locked, oh no, DL SITE ACTUALLY REMOVED THE GAME FROM SALE ON THEIR SITE and his posts on ciel en were deleted.

I'll add to the thread that I don't seem to have the update.exe mentioned so far and I did 100% the game. I'm not sure which download I did, but the SHA256 for the "Game.exe" that I have for it is:
