Yeah, i think I'll do that from now on, just follow the game page, wait for udate, wait some days and look if it's clean.
Writing here because I am concerned.
I downloaded the Old MTL one because I saw a comment about the translation being done by a suspicious group. Ran the game thru the timeframe where it was most likely infected (Diskdrill shows at August 20th 8pm), I played it twice. I only found the User Data folder in appdata/local, but no mysupergame folder. I was using sandboxie and I usually delete everything that appears in appdata, except for where the game was ran (different disk) to keep my save if it stores it there.
I would like to know what my best course of action is.

So i downloaded the game just an hour before the warning was posted.
Today i tried playing it and played for about 10 mins when i noticed that my pc was acting weird, like something was loading and the game also had a lag for a moment. I immediately checked here and saw the warning.
Afterwards i deleted the game folder and zip, i then also checked the appdata folder and found the mysupergame folder.
I didnt get an anti virus warning when i started the game but i got one the moment i tried opening the mysupergame folder, it was then labeled as a trojan and i nuked it from my pc. Now im running a full scan with malwarebytes and i also changed all my passwords, luckily i dont save passwords in my brower.
Anything else i should do to be safe? Not really happy about the idea of reinstalling windows but if it must be done, i will do it.

If you really don't save passwords there really isn't anything left to do once you've purged the files. You're an anomaly data pirates don't account for.
Most likely, you are safe. Apparently, only the new translation was infected, the old translation was safe. No further action is necessary.
I found a folder called MySuperGame in appdata, but nothing in the folder. Does anyone know if that means im safe or not? Windows defender haven't found anything. Also the current file I have says it was modified on 8/20/2025 11:03 EST. I think im safe, but I want to make sure. I dont remember when I downloaded it, and just ran it for the first time today

We dont know, the virus self destructs after doing its job. You have to change all your passwords now.
Every case is unique, some found the files in the fodler, other had their folder empty. Some got AV alerts after it was too late, other manage to block it.

Hopes for a new breeding game from this developer:
1)Having not only one city, but an entire prefecture to explore (1 big city, 3-4 little town, 5-6 villages);
2)Transports: bus, train and car to trvale between locations, and girls who interact in those locations;
3)Housing sistem: at certain point, in this game, i got enough money to expand the house, but no chances to do that. Money were just for a bit of food;
4)More girls, who have different requirements depending not only by the breeding rank, but enviroment, house level, etc;
5)MC stats: i have to admit, the stat sistem from the first game were quite good, would be ok to have them on a new game, but more like: each breeding rank gives you stat point. Higher the rank, higher the points received.
I know this is only a rpgm game, but the potential is quite huge.

I didn't notice anything except that the graphics were briefly misaligned for a millisecond.
I didn't really notice any hard drive activity at the time, but I also have an SSD installed.
I also had the “mysupergame” folder on my PC.
It contained a folder called “updates,” but it was empty and I didn't receive any notifications from my antivirus software (Bitdefender).
I did have a few passwords saved, but not for important sites.
I also ran Malwarebytes, which didn't find anything.
Could it be that Bitdefender protected me from an attack after all?

I did download and play during the infected time but my AV snapped up a file called update.exe as it tried to run flagged as Malware so I guess I dodged a bullet.
I'm having the same issue as you, and I went there at 1pm, but I don't see any way to get to the bus
could someone please explain how you unlock the bus. I have every girl but one unlocked, and all of the ones I do have unlocked are already pregnant.

just met the girl with the tennis bag, in the bus at 5pm, but she seems to not be available for breeding (she says she's from another city)
