ntr writers gets off on helplessness, giving player the optional choice to opt out from a humiliating scenario is the anti-thesis of what turns them on.. their style of writing (to really satisfy their own fetish) is just often not compatible with other genres
the main character was going to save the farm. Now you guys. He was never needed save the so now your story makes no sense.

It is a sign of the story not being thought out well and gameplay mechanics not meshing with the story.
We will need to see if there are any changes in the next release but I doubt they will ever fix the issue of why the MC is needed. At this point it would take a complete overhaul of the story and/or game mechanics to get a cohesive game.
Easiest fix with least amount of issues is just giving MC a trait that Katelyn figured out they had which is needed to breed monsters commercially. Looking at if they keep the Ceecee story have it be the instant adult trait. Say Rika, and Katelyn do not have it. Argue it can stay in a monster line for a generation of two or that conception needs to be in the presence of a holder of the trait and that explains Rika in the past giving birth rapidly in the pit. If we go by the in the presence of the holder of trait then you can explain away Ceecee's kid by either her being special or the medicine to make her temporarily fertile preventing the trait from working.
That literally would fix the question of why not Katelyn or Rika or even two random monsters. That just leaves the question if other farms went under why not use breeders from those farms. If church was an actual antagonistic force then the church killing/capturing them could work. Having something happen to them could have been the reason why those farms went under (if that happened, I do not recall that in the intro but haven't played in about a year now). The husband/father dying on a boat makes even less sense as why was he not working on the farm but that is an issue in general with the story.
And here's where i'll return to what i suspected this game truly is: just an elaborate scheme to siphon fundings towards their real passion project, amity park.
They know people will literally throw money at any game with breeding titles, and done just barely enough to keep the facade going
Which is why I don't invest in patron projects. Most are either trying to pull in money for minimal work for years or they move towards continual drops with no plan towards an end.
Good so project is either dead or if he wants to build new patreon base he has to actually start doing something.. done with milking and bullshit delays.
There is always third option aka patreon purge, as it was done with his previous GZone patreon

Imho, I'm glad Patreon page has gone kaput. This game was basically in a coma and now it'll be laid to rest.
