You can and it doesn't fuck up your Saves, i did the same with 7.0 as well as with Milfs of Sunville recent Update - no Errors whatsoever.

LaikDink has a job and a life in the real world, so it's understandable that they can't update the mod now. It seems like we need someone else to take over.
