While browsing for new stories to assimilate entertain myself on these dire times, I stumbbled with this one by complete accident...Wish I had accidents like this one more often because I had a great time, Bright Lord be praised.

Supernatural elements are hard to work with because they work on a fine line, they operate in a fragile balance that is harder and harder to mantain the further the plot develops. Bright Lord works because the dev managed to keep these supernatural elements somewhat coherent with what we know or believe is possible.
Would have loved that my decisions could have a bigger role on the plot, but I respect the kinetic storytelling when its interesting to read, and more importantly, when I was never promised that my decisions would matter from the start.
The story is correspondingly dark from beginning to end (of current version), and the setting works well for the mind control and other morally reprehensible interests, I suggest giving instances to the player to explore these options depending on current love/corruption score.

They all look good, and here's the big but: where are the redheads man? This is the perfect way to get into the RCB's (Redhead Control Burau) Bad Boy's list.
I would say they are well written, in Chloe's case I would say maybe too-well written: she's a insufferable brat sometimes, but there's a reason for that so I approve and will endure with her personality, just like every man does when the booty is too good to let it walk away.
Even when they look absolutely gorgeous, their personalities dont vary enough: Chloe and Liza for example, they look different from each other, but they are so similar at the same time.
Liked the lack of chemistry at first between MC and the Bright Lord himself, how he even mentions another char would have made a better host but he decides to stay nonetheless, even makes a joke later, that's relationship development, well done dev.

Bright Lord is an interesting AVN: It remains coherent despite the fantasy setting, managed to make the dark fantasy work in a modern environment in conjunction with the adult elements, and made stunning heroines feel like real people too.
Please Dev, don't rush it, give your story enough time and space to develop all the characters, you did a promising work here, don't waste it just to haste progress.
For now... Congrats.

Giving this 4 stars out of 5 mostly due to the direction the story is going in after the rework. Wasn't a great fan of mind control & corruption and outside of Emily, none of the other characters were particularly redeemable or likeable at first.
We now see Chloe and Margarie and even Liza to a lesser extent soften up towards the MC and want to be with him.

Now, I see the MC is actually a decent guy, trying to keep his family together and alive, meanwhile there seems to some actual romantic tension and feelings between all the LIs.

I disagree with the previous review, the supernatural element has been thoroughly explained, whether THEY like it or not is subjective and shouldn't really matter except whether it makes sense in the story dev is trying to tell. In my opinion it does, and it's original enough for me to be invested in it.

I'm also looking to see if we can turn the antagonist around (or at least one of them) and given their connection to MC's father, if they will also be able to be redeemed.

The super natural element is absolutely terrible in this one. There is no real explanation how this happened to the MC. THe LI's are very hot but that is really the only positive thing I can say about this AVN

As much as I'd like to give this 5 stars, I can't justify it, because I agree with a lot of the issues people have with this game. Most strongly I dislike how kinetic the story feels, even with a lot of "decisions" which on the surface are absolute opposites of each other, but change practically nothing. Sometimes the story itself doesn't keep track which you chose. Frankly, they feel more like fetish avoid options, but mostly without the fetish avoidance.

But I still enjoyed most of it immensely. My most major complaint is the style of corruption and how it dances between the people changing and mind control. I REALLY dislike mind control corruption, it misses the entire point in my opinion. I don't really care if the corruption is from lust or romance, but mind control ain't it for me. And somehow, this game does all three at the same time on everyone. It's hard to describe, but over all, I didn't hate it. At parts I did, but as I said, it's hard to describe.

I'm not exactly sure how I feel about it, but I enjoyed it more than I disliked it. I played 1.5.0, where the latest few chapters were my favourite, so my rating might be affected by that. The most important parts of the story are the start and the end and the current content ends at it's best. I might change this review if my feelings change with future updates, but for now, I'd recommend it.

The writing just isn't there. Sure the visuals are great and a good amount of effort has been put into the technical side of things, but the characters are not engaging let alone enticing. The story has a decent premise, but the execution is too incoherent.

Fun game with beautiful sex scenes!

At times I struggle with how silly the plot is for it to be taken so seriously, but the game rewards me with hot content every time I start to regret the time I've spent reading the plot. And it's worth it every time.

This game has one of the hottest characters I've seen in any game I've played, with excellent renders , animations. and it has a good pace However, at some point, the characters become really irritating,.

The VN has good renders and honestly good pacing which is a problem a lot of visual novels don't address but beyond that its just bad writing all the way down. Characters are extremely boring and simple, acting impulsively and irrationally, if this had been explained in the plot that'd be more forgivable but some of these motherfuckers are out here having screaming matches every other scene and they're supposed to be actual adults. Idk just seems like a lot. Still the pacing is genuinely good, with scenes keeping a brisk momentum and you're never really greeted by walls of unnecessary text which is nice. A lot of VNs just have characters spew dialogue at you that's either uninteresting, poorly written, or completely unnecessary and for the most part this game doesn't do that even if the writing itself isn't great, at least there's not much of it yknow. Only reason this gets average instead of poor is because of the production value though which I was actually surprised with, there's music, interesting scenes, even some bordering on creepy, audio stings, etc. Its clear the author put in work here and if they could improve their writing abilities or include a writer in their next project I think they could actually make some nice stories.

Great renders and beautiful models - this is all that is good in this game. Writing is bad to imbecilic levels. Characters irritating, dumb, immature and in general they behave very irrationally for the sake of childish drama. Mother is an aggressive tyrant; the older sister is a dumb bitch; MC is a moron with "I'm always wrong" syndrome, and only the younger sister is fine most of the time. Story and events are soaked with cheap drama based on characters stupidity and immature behavior. The story premise is good, but delivery is just horrible. A lot of plot holes, inconsistencies and generally low-quality writing ruin even the slightest possibility for immersion in the story.

For this game to be fine, it needs a writer who, before writing this mess, at least googled "how to write a simple script"

Yeah...sums up the writing of this particular VN. So another one with high-quality bimbos, very hot, jerky-jerky fucky fucky. But you feel bad wanking to this because apparently everyone is socially inept than a pimple-faced teenager.

Margarie is such a bona fide crackhead trailer park mom who has mood swings that swung harder than the modern American political spectrum. I'm surprised she hasn't gotten her own alcoholism and meth addiction subplot. Chloe suffers from an unfortunate disease called the broke bitch big sister dumbslut syndrome, so their personalities are to be the biggest most insufferable stereotypes of wincest adult games as possible.

The only person reasonable is somehow the little sister Emily who actually calls MC childish because MC is a bozo who thinks he's level-headed yelling with everyone else while having his head inside his own own ass.

All this on top of a corruption plot where your Jojo stand needs cum energy to fight a powerful bimbo because your dad told her that he preferred banging your mom, I'm fucking lost after allat.

It deserve a "good" 4 stars, although it is a 3.5 in reality.

The plus: Really good modelisation and lightings. The girls are beautiful, they have beautiful eyes and faces avoiding the uncanny valley. the scenery are nice, the animation clean.
Corruption theme for those who dig that.

The minus:
Girls have all the same physical attributes with barely the hair colour or cut allowing to differenciate them. All big boobed, big hipped bimbos.

The writing is average, there is some worldbuilding and an interesting premise but it fails to deliver or even offer some progression. That s where the corruption side fails, girls tend to stay the same.

H scenes are vanilla and quite boring, very short and with little buildup or conclusion.

Conclusion: it s an above average VN thanks to the high quality of models and animations, it will be proper material for one handed gameplay will pressing ctrl to skip the useless story... But it will be forgotten just as fast.

The premise is interesting (basically "gods" take over human vessels), but outside of a crusade reference for a short backstory it is minimally fleshed out. The story seems to bounce around without any real plot or character development.

The writing in general is a weak point. The characters barely have a personality and the personality they do have is wildly inconsistent. Choices do not seem to matter that much outside of mild flavor choices. There is not much content for a 4 year old game, and the story is not close to finished. Character models are pretty stereotypical for how most AVNs go. Overall I would not suggest it.

Most important part, the girls are smoking hot (except the boobs). This game is one of games where the eyes of women are the most beautiful. Beside the women, the graphic are very good. There is no bugs. At least i did not find any throug my gameplay. The collectabels are fun. Some of them are very hard and some of the are easy. The atmosphere and the music/voices are very good.

The story is awesome, interesting (except the forced mind control), creative and unique. Sadly it looks too linear. The player do not have much impact on the story. The decisions are simple. The characters personality feels simple as well.

The language is great. Easy to understand even for poor english speakers.

I really enjoyed this one. The artwork is fantastic and the story was a surprise. I thought it would be completely different and usual but it was quite original. Can't wait for more. Did I mention how great the models are?

I've played for a couple hours, just finish it, here are some pros and cons:

+Pros:
- Character : Top tier, amazing looks, definitely top 5 or even top 3 most beautiful girls model for me, especially Margarie, best MILF ever ! Their breast and body overall are also perfect.
- Render : High quality, stunning, very details, like the glistening skin or the glimmering light on certain scene, showing off the beautiful detail on characters , the scenery/view around you very well.
-Story : May not be top tier writing, but interesting enough to care about, and not just skip to sex scene, choice dont seems to have much impact yet, maybe on later update, also have a hidden corruption/love stat for each girl.Content currently is bit too short ngl.
-Music and ambience : good.

+Cons:

- ANIMATION: here comes the biggest flaw of this game, the bloody sex animations, the core of all porn games, its not bad, but barely qualify as average, most are like a 1-2 frame 2 sec loop ,scenes are short, like 3 click/3 line of text and done, swap to new position, or just end quite abruptly, some scene have 1 BJ, 1 sex position then done, around 6-7 click to finish a scene, some scene are just terrible, they start fucking like a bunch of elders with scoliosis or sth, slo mo thrust ,barely moved or have face expression,physics etc at all, a few scenes are way better, like with multiple position and such, but still a bit short overall, also very little to no camera /view angle change on most scene, and to top it off, the lack of animated climax/orgasm/cum shot to wrap it up on most scene, most end quite abruptly .

+Conclusion: Bright lord is a 4 star game for me and i definitely recommended it to everyone, buy it on Steam to support the dev , the only thing i think need to be improve is the sex animations, personally i would rather get 2 scene per update or so but are more well done, long, greater quality overall, like Eternum, Ripple, or Anna exciting affection chap 2

A fun game that is fairly well polished but with a few annoyances.

The game has had some rather harsh reviews recently which I disagree with. Players here seem to be more petty compared to other games of similar quality. If a player doesn't like one thing or they wanted the author to take a different approach with later content they trash it in the reviews. Some of the reviews I don't feel are very fair to the author. The game is a solid four stars IMO.

Most of the game works well, with a good story, good writing, good English, good character models, plenty of lewd content, and good renders.

Annoyances

• Some of the breast sizes are a bit ridiculous! I love fantasy like the next person but when the breasts are too large it produces the opposite effect for me - it destroys realism and they look unattractive. Margarie and Megan's secretary are two examples and Margarie is a main character. Chloe and Liza's breast sizes are the biggest that I find attractive and don't find comical.
• Character development suffers through most of the game and at the end of the current content, I still don't feel very attached to any of the characters.
• For some odd reason, the dev thought it was a good idea to add his own menu to the game. Ren'Py has it's own default menu so now we have two. Anytime I want to save the game or do anything that requires the menu I have to make twice as many clicks due to the two separate menus. I don't see how the author can view this as being an improvement. Nearly every Ren'Py developer out there just edits and improves the default menu - no need to add a second one...
• The animations in the game are hit and miss. Some are well done while others defy physics and look unnatural. There are a dozen or more animations where the two people having sex barely move. There is almost no movement beyond perhaps one inch. Most of these poor animations are for vaginal sex. Why? Some good animations and some really lazy/lackluster ones.
• The author improves this in later releases but in the earlier ones the player has few choices on how to react to dialog/events/etc.
• More freedom with who the MC uses to gain energy would greatly improve the game - too linear currently
• Game takes itself too seriously and needs some good humor!

Overall a solid four star game with room for improvement.

I wish the author success on future releases and I recommend this game to others.

just came here to give bright lord its flowers for the massive improvement the game has made since the first time i played it, it wont change your life, but its an interesting premise, etherial vampire lords waging wars against each other in the plane of human psyche is a very unique idea, the models are gorgeous, but its definitely more porn than novel, however im giving it a high rating because if you've been playing it since the start you can probably see the sheer amount if effort the dev has actually poured into this game, say what you want about the final product but ill always respect a dev that not only puts forward a good game, but has the love and work ethic to keep refining and improving where it falls flat for both their fans and im guessing pride as an artist and dedication to their vision, well done keep it up.

At beginning this game was showing promise. But now no story line just blah blah sex blah blah and it was like that last couple updates, No new characters game is dead and boring, Dev could have finished this game a while a go and there wouldn't be any difference!
