So… where were we?
It’s been over a year since the last update.
A few things happened IRL, I worked on other projects (mostly comics and illustrations), wrote a bunch of stories and scripts you’ll eventually see, and started digging deeper into both DAZ and AI. I also sketched out the long story I plan to work on after
Bring a Bottle of Wine.
Which, I know—you’ll say—it’s still not finished. True.
But the arrival of AI changed the way I work quite a bit, and I needed some time to adapt.
The biggest change mainly affects the translation side: for the next update I’ll be using AI tools to retranslate everything from scratch, trying to refine the writing, clarify things where I think they’re unclear, and keep things blurry where ambiguity is meant to stay.
On the visual side, those of you who’ve been following me already noticed I’ve used AI a couple of times—once for a special scene and once to create a photo of two plumber twins (I’m a prankster).
In the meantime, an entire wave of opinions about AI has emerged—something that simply didn’t exist a year ago—and I feel I should address it briefly: as a creative, I’ll use whatever tools I feel are right for me.
Back to
Bring a Bottle of Wine: while working on the ending (which had always been planned a certain way), I hesitated. I spent a lot of time questioning one specific moment. Once I clarified the true nature of the project to myself, that hesitation disappeared. I finally found a solution that works for me, for what I want to tell, and for how I want to tell it.
Thanks to everyone who’s been patient.
I’ll leave you now with Bang Bang and Natalie dealing with a hole in the wall.
See you soon!
