I feel like, and there is no need to really lean into this, there could be a nonzero chance that after some time, you should have a chance of running into a character identified as your offspring. I wonder if this could be made as a mod? Like by default, a 1-5% chance a newly generated NPC can go "Wait..."

We are talking a space rock penal colony. Could easily say there's some FTL time dilation going on causing LT-grade rapid age progression.

I remember seeing a mod that gave some bonus depending on the species of your character. Like cats got more bleed damage, horses more hp and so on. I don't know if it updated

Specifically for body parts I don't remember seeing. Besides the funny parts I don't think you will find like, horse arm gives x, wolf tail gives y...

Eh, I can entirely understand it. I would imagine programming it would be hell from a modder perspective too, and if they don't want it on their browser that's their prerogative.
