I played slave maker 2 and 3 alot back when they came out. This game is satisfying the same need. I am enjoying it so much that I am scared of imagining myself finishing this game (like fully finishing it 100% and having nothing to do anymore)

I enjoy all the plot but every once in a while I like to play just brothel management. The problem is that some of the plot still shows up and some that needs to show up doesn't. (For instance, I can never find the carpenter in that mode)...

That's a bug which should be reported to Goldo, IMHO. Do you have an account at henthighschool.net? Then please do so. If not, say so here and somebody will.

Ok, one more thing I want to report is in the new game+ (no story mode) when I reach chapter 4, I can't find a botanist girl or any shop girl. Do I have to activate thier shop in new game+ setting before start a new game?

Reported both of this on the HHS forum.

A question from Jman from HHS:

For Riche, can't reproduce and can't see an obvious reason for it to happen, either. Is it when starting NGP+ in chapter 4 already, or progressing there naturally? Did they click 'look around' if the shop icon wasn't there yet? Is their game updated?

And this is for you:

As to the honourable Congressman, at least the cheat option puts Iulia straight into the brothel, and game progression should use the same call for chapter advancement. Has he actually looked into the wagon?

Almost 90% lol... I wanted to see how long until I manage to build all furniture but I think I'm losing patience. Furniture building is truly the final boss of BK.

PS: You can blame me for the tax system. (i was the one who suggested the tax)
Nah, I blame jman. I blame jman for everything! :BootyTime:
But yeah I think Bonanza's tax raids were less annoying and the uncertainty of when (and if) they would strike made them overall more interesting.

I tried it with the cheats and "build all furniture" but it doesn't show up; the page for that is blank until I find a carpenter, apparently

Well i suggested it to make the runaway money go away. After chapter 6 you earn so much that you couldn't spend it away and after awhile you would get raided pretty much every 2~3 day's.

For this you should find her. The location for her it's the same. And the code for her it's in a whole another rpy then the story.

Additional Info: I have Trait King mod and I started at chapter 2.
A reply from Jman for both of your bugs:

So, I think this is the culprit (for both cases):
Code:
    if start: # For debugging: deactivate MC spells when advancing
        $ commit_start_settings()
    ...
    # # Common unlocks
    # $ unlocking_extras()
Old code ran 'unlocking_extras()' (from 'commit_start_settings()') every chapter advancement, but now it's hidden behind 'start'.

Strangely enough, the 'start' setting is used for the 'jump to chapter' cheat, which is why I didn't see any problems using that. I'm not sure it's actually warranted, since this means the cheat option only tests specific NGP+ starts.

Normal advancement doesn't, and since the 'chapter2' label is also only called in story mode, there are neither shopgirl meeting events nor direct feature/NPC unlocks.

Personally, I think this whole non-story unlocking thing needs a good look-over in general.

Temporary solution: console 'unlocking_extras()'. It might unlock a bit too much, maybe, but better that than being permanently locked out of features from later chapters.

For opening the console press shift+o

Edit: Tried it on the save file what i got from BoomZa Virtual and it will unlock both Kathryn and Riche in there place.

Last post I make about this I swear, but:
Capture d'écran 2025-03-01 213517.png

In my quest to build every single furniture I was eventually met with this. I imagined the tax would be capped to 100% income at maximum (which would be workable) but it actually goes past that?

Edit: hmm looking at the code it should max out at 95%. Something is weird here...

Edit2: there's a +/- 25% variance to the total sum so if you're already at 95% it can go past 100%, depending on rng. Huh. Not the end of the world but in universe our friend Cloud should really end with a guild war on their hands :HideThePain:

Atleast now we all know what's the max % for the tax. :KEK:
So far nobody reached it. Because either they started a new game or leaved it halfway.
