Whenever you see coordinated industry wide censorship pushes it's never about what it actually purports itself to be, governments and corporations have used moral controls as an excuse to gain power for all of recorded history.
Just take a look at how immoral politicians and those who control large cooperation are, do you really believe those people do anything for the public good out of a sense of moral virtue?
Just as an example, the new internet safety act was supposed to be about keeping underage kids away from porn but within 24hrs of it's implementation almost all the strikes have been on content about the protests in the UK. Every single non state news source showing or talking about the protests is getting flagged.
This is no different, and I would not be surprised if it was related. There will be bans on smaller studios and games at first but as time goes on you will see carve-outs made for all the big players who will slowly start to admit they were behind this as their control over every distribution platform grows.
