Paolo Eleuteri Serpieri from the Druuna series is very good in my opinion.

Well holee shit this is a blast from the past. Budd used to maintain his own web gallery in the '90s, along with Devon Massey, back in the dark ages of the Interwebs. Now we need Barbi the Barbarienne by D Stahl to round out the old-ass retro art collections.

Like sumas9 stated, it's an adult-oriented anthology of comics that rose to fame (or infamy) in that era featuring various characters, Druuna being one of them. They're actually still being published these days, in fact. I haven't really been following them much, though, since HM2000 and FAKK2, to be honest.

Another famous female persona from those magazines was Julie Strain. She was the voice as well as the model for the character in the movie "Heavy Metal 2000" (which many fans will say was kinda awful compared to the original film). She was the former wife of Kevin Eastman (yes, THAT Eastman, as in long-time TMNT creator and writer, partner to Peter Laird) and was the basis for many characters that graced the magazine's covers, illustrated by the likes of Bisley, Berardinis, Royo, and other contributing artists, over the years. I say "was" because despite many false reports of her death over the years, she actually did pass away earlier this year, in January. Apparently the horse-riding accident she had in her 20s had caused retrograde amnesia, which was believed to have contributed to dementia. She had been battling it for years before she passed on Jan 10th.
