Some devs do that to try and prevent burn-out. Whether or not it works is another story.

listen when youve been around as long as i have this is a time old classic dev starts one game without finishing the others makes promises and plans to finish it only to get sick or tired and quit developing all together if this ever gets finished great i doubt it will as of now it is effectively in a coma left for dead. someone needs to pull a nightmirror and finish this with siroc

so iv downloaded the pc version but when i click the app to play it it says initial content could not be loaded and to contact the publisher for assistants

Maybe with the success of the new movie, the dev will focus on the game and do more frequent updates.
