Yes, you can clean the pool from Laura's quest. Once acquired the quest for it, pick up the tool from the Shed. Then click on the pool to clean it !

In the morning, after talking to Abu's wife, click on the Squishee machine.
You can only work in the morning, because thats how life works, homie.
You should get between 24-36 dollars a day.
Conversely, what you can do is edit your save to give yourself beaucoup bucks, thus enabling you to avoid the grindfest you can only do once a day, at a specific time.
This is by far the MOST annoying mechanic of the game.
