Nice shooter game. Only had to reset 2nd last stage and last stage. otherwise straightforward gameplay into h scene. I liked it. Good art good story and humor.But I found the H scenes a bit lacking, it ends too soon or goes another direction. Anyway 4/5 would recommend

Amazing gameplay + amazing artstyle but really lacking on sexual content. If you're looking for a great game this is it, but for getting a good wank there's unfortunately better stuff out there. Static scenes with 1-2 positions, often lacking foreplay and also lots of scenes without anything happening besides some naked boobies. Also I really disliked the few NTR scenes, ruining the mood. The characters look so good you want to fuck them all...

Gameplay (10/10): I genuinely enjoyed this game by itself. It is at the perfect difficulty where I feel challenged while still being possible to complete. It is very rare to see an H-game with good gameplay

Music and sounds (9/10): Very nice soundtrack. Voice actor did a really good job

Yeah, this is the case where brilliant art meets pure classic masculinity and good old brutal straightforwardness. I love pretty much everything about this game. Of course it may lack some gamechanging innovations (after all it is just a simple 30 y.o. bullethell arcade in its essence), but who cares?

Great game. It's that kind of game with solid gameplay that treats porn as a reward, not the main focus. Also, it's the best game since the Princess Reconquista demo. Unfortunately, it's so rare to get a game that's not a VN/RPGM/turn-based, complete, and with good quality, that I bet we'll only enjoy another project like this next year.

Extremely high quality game, the porn is a nice bonus.

Shoot em up game where you throw your weapons into the enemies above you while it autoscrolls. Collect enough score to see the girl on the bottom right slowly undress and then unlock the h-scene of the stage. ~15 stages to go through, ~9 cg scenes with minor stuff on top of that.

Game is very fun and there's a healthy challenge attached to it, not too easy or frustrating (for me). My minor nitpick is the overreliance on fast bullet patterns that just test your reaction times. I'm not a great shmup player and beat the game in about ~10 hours. Use the lower difficulties if you are having issues. The level, bullet patterns etc. will stay the same but you'll have more bombs and lives to let you make more mistakes. There's a lot of thought and consideration put into this game's design, it's worth your time to play through it.

Story and music is awesome, art is awesome and hot. Great characterization on each girl and butt knight as well. This is in the pantheon of great h-games.

Being truthful I played the first four stages, said "this is neat," and closed the game to go grab a full gallery save. ButtKnight is a well-made arcade style lewd game that for me just has very little staying power.

There's a certain, maybe genre?, of lewd game that says "hey we're gonna be a porn game so let's make it fun and goofy" and that's what this game is. You play as Buttknight, a heroic pervert out to say the kidnapped princesses. This involves playing through a series of bullet hell -shoot-em-up style gameplay. As you rack up points a lady on screen gets progressively stripped and then when you hit a certain goal you unlock a lewd scene.

The scenes themselves are a wide mix of fetishes. The very first one is a kidnapped girl blowing a line of bandits, and then ButtKnight hops in line to save her after she blows him too. There's some voyeuristic scenes, and some scenes with just ButtKnight and a girl. Everyone is kinda written to be characters who have a lot of sex, so don't go in expecting pure maidens to save.

The art is actually incredible and all the technical parts are nice, but I just don't have much attachment to any other aspects of the game to have bothered playing through it. That sort of humorous porn take on story/characters doesn't usually do it for me, so the gameplay isn't worth the reward for me.

I'm middle of road for this one. I really enjoyed Flip-Witch and it had much better sexual content than this one. I'm a fan of the pixel porn art style. So, it's super disappointing they did nothing with that here.

As a game without sex, it's fine, but as another person mentioned. There is no real incentive to playing this other than "Stripping" the girl on the side and getting a very boring static "sex" scene.

I won't pretend to know the first thing about animating a scene. But, if you're going to call a game BUTTKNIGHT, and have it be 18+ more then static scenes should be a thing.

Like, why have a camp of the girls, when you can't do anything with them. Even though when you talk to them they talk to you like they want you to. It's as if the devs were going to add some pixel animated scenes for that area, but opted not to.

Fabability...0 like the scenes aren't even that erotic.

could have been more to do BUT, what little it has is actually just near perfect. Whether it be the clean artstyle the gameplay, or the humour, legit caught me off guard and managed to get a couple laughs out of me. But in terms of sexual content even thuogh its pretty good, it's pretty tame.

It's a fun game, cool art, nice design, fun story and great design. So why the hell i give 2 star? Because it's not a sex game lol xD There is no animated sex scenes. I wouldn't call them even sex scenes lol. There is so much potential but they didn't even benefit from it. Just a little work and it's 5 star game. It's an average game for bullet hell genre i would give 3 but wouldn't play it if they didn't involved +18 content that's probably why they tried to involved sex but it's so boring as a sex game too. There is no fun to play element as a bullet hell so they try to get your attention with sex content but it's not rewarding it's just boring. Probably we can call it echii or something. I bet they didn't put the +18 at first after they realise it's a boring game they put it later. You can see if critical bliss is the publisher generally games come with less and boring sex scenes and it's killing the whole potential like witch flip

TLDR:
Buttknight is a game not for faint of butt. It's, as Jake Baldino puts it, "a game ass game". It's as polished as a freshly shaved Caucasian butt, Brazilian-style. Play this game, and your butt will thank you for trying it out.

More Context:
When you name your game "Buttknight" you are setting up your game to be the butt of jokes, but this game doesn't suck ass, but kicks it. The devs have clearly put their asses into the job. Every bit of the game is meticulassly crafted. It's quite rare.

You play as the eponymous Buttknight, a man whose chins are chiseled as if Michelangelo himself carved it out of David's toned butt. A chin so round and voluptuous that could rival your favorite pornstar's tushy in their prime.

The game is a 2D bullet hell auto-scrolling upward. Your face is met with a buttload of bullets that you will dodge and shoot back at goblins' cultists' and nuns' butts in the tight windows provided.

I felt like "normal" difficulty hit the nail right on its butthole. Starts quite manageable and in the last two stages your butt will feel the depth of this game firm mechanics.

You are tasked with saving a bunch of maidens' and the realm's three princess' butts and lucky for you, your job is also you hobby. Assinine plot? Sure, but I can get behind its simplicity. You will of course, have to hand the Demon King his butt in the end and that boss fight, depending on your skills, could leave you with a sore hole IRL. It may be a pain in your butt (not just the last boss, but the last stage as well).

I won't spoil this game's butt for you any further. I wasn't bored for one second. It was a bum-rush of excitement throughout. You should thrust yourself into this cracking experience, divide its cheeks and see how deep the hole goes. It's quite short, which really backs the game's high-effort style.

The H-scenes are quite stylized and cute, simple images that get the job done and are passionately drawn. They didn't half-assed it for sure. And I didn't even talk about the game's music which truly kicks ass.

Bottom Line:
Buttknight is a petite butt which is hard to dislike from any angle. It's cheeky and fun-sized and overall a well-rounded experience. I give it "4 firm butts and a half cheek" out of 5.

Does exactly what you expect it does and very polished at that. Sweet waifus, fappable art and not waisting the time of the player with endless dialog babbling in sex scenes. Maybe a little bit more use of the camp i.e more than one dialog per girl would have been nice and easily doable, but w/e
Though I have no idea how the hell THAT many people are supposedly working on this game. Why the hell does it need 5+ advisors and supervisors and lead supervisors etc. etc. the credits just don't end.
Compared with what 2-4 people teams can churn out it is rather suspect management.

Fun gameplay, funny and engaging story, no grind and great art.
There's not much else to say honestly, it's just a really high quality game.
The only "bad" thing, is the sex scenes being a little short, but the quality of them more than makes up for it.

A thing that i like on this forum, is that you can find, in a sea of VN and RPG clones, those little gems of retrogaming.

In shorts, this is a clone/reimagining of un underrated game labeled Konami, and playable on MSX.
I'm talking about "Knightmare".
Fun, challenging, the weapons are the same, and also the enemies patterns.

I try to play, the game freezes at the difficulty selection screen, I download the patched version, I start the game, I again get frozen at the difficulty selection screen, I try to load a save, the gallery is supposed to be opened, but clicking on the unlocked girls doesn't do anything, I try to play the levels, I can play them, but after winning I get stuck at the victory screen and I can't proceed to the next level. For every single level.

How do I rate this any higher??? Fix the goddamn freezes please!

Gameplay is actually quite fun. It's a simple shooter but it'll keep you entertained for a few hours. Normal mode isn't too hard but it's fun enough that you might want to up the difficulty to challenge yourself.

As for the sex scenes, they're a bit short but have a solid art style, decent humor, and enough variety among the ladies. It's too bad the ending "choices" just give you a static image and not actual scenes, but the scenes at the end of each stage are good enough

Sidescroller shoot-em-up with good gameplay, excellent art and a top notch fun vibe. Sex scenes are on the short side with only a couple variations on a single pose each, but the pace is good enough to keep you from getting bored. Highly recommended and I look forward to the dev's future works.

Playing on hard, game so difficult it reminds me of fighting sans for first time. Anyway, graphic is beautiful i actually had to screen shot. Gameplay is really good, i had spent my time on this one, definitely would recommend.

It's a tough one to rate. I think it is a high 4/5, like a 4.5, which could use a bump up. But I also feel the game was not unique or special or erotic enough to actually rate a 5/5. Then I think back on all the other games I rated 5/5. This one is really not there, so I drop it down to a 4/5.

I achieved a 100% save for this game — "no hit" on hard difficulty for all levels. First, you should check out the gallery from the main menu to get a sense of the story. Then, while in the gallery, press the X key to enter the camp. There, you can talk to each of the girls to see some cute dialogue for each character. You can also interact with the bucket in the top left to unlock a secret scene featuring the Queen's gangbang.

The game has two endings. I’ve seen both, and honestly, I don't think either one counts as a "bad ending" — it's more about which one you personally prefer. To see either ending, you just need to play the final level and defeat the boss. If it's too tough, you can lower the difficulty to "Easy" in the settings. I kept it on Hard because I just wanted to see if it would unlock any special content or Easter eggs. Sadly, it didn’t. Still, I did it so you don’t have to.

Overall, I think it's an interesting little game. If you don't actually play the game but use the save to see the gallery, just consider the quality of the H scene. I probably wouldn't even rate it to 4, but the cut scenes are cute and quite fun to watch. So overall, it bumps up the score, but for the factor of the H scene, I don't think it was that excellent. There is no live 2d. There is no full voice action. There are a few moaning lines, and that's about it.

Visually, all the characters are cute, but sadly, not very erotic or horney, more like a traditional Japanese VN. The plot isn’t anything groundbreaking, akin to your typical cute anime-style story. There are a few punchlines that land okay-ish, even though they can feel predictable.

As for the gameplay, it was tough, especially on Hard difficulty. Finishing it was a real challenge. I saw people posting full save files online yesterday, but I decided to tough it out myself and spent an extra two days completing it 100%. Nobody pushed me to finish the game on Hard with "no hit" for every level, like I said, I just wanted to see if it would unlock any special content or Easter eggs. Sadly, it didn’t. Still, I did it so you don’t have to.
