ButtKnight is a simple shoot-em-up. You play through levels and upon finishing a level with a certain score you get H-scenes.

    Gameplay:
Typical scrolling shoot-em-up gameplay with a few gimmicks. You have your basic gun attack, a charged attack which clears projectiles, and a bomb that clears the screen of projectiles.
Certain enemies drop power-ups allowing you to change and improve your main attack or giving you more "health" and lives.
You start off with 2HP, up to 3 with a power-up. You can also get more lives, defaulting to 2hp each.
There are 4 different weapons in the game: sword, arrow, javelin, and kunai. Each weapon deals different damage, has a different spread, different rate-of-fire, and affects your movement speed.
The game is world based. Each world, when finished with a certain score, gets you lewds. Killing more enemies, killing quickly, not getting hit, not using bombs, and having spare lives gives you more points.

Something the game doesn't tell you is that the charged attack has a secret mechanic: if you let go at the perfect time, the blade comes out yellow instead of blue and does more damage. This also makes a distinct "schwing" sound.
This is insanely satisfying to hit and is part of the reason I really like the gameplay. From what I can tell, the timing is fairly tight. You can definitely get good at it though.

There are three difficulties: Easy, Normal, and Hard. Higher difficulty means less lives for you and more health for enemies.
It also means more points, although you can probably get all the lewds even on easy, so I recommend doing that if you just wanna go through it.
From what I can tell, higher difficulty doesn't have any content you can't get on the lower ones, whether in lewds or in new attacks.

Overall a straightforward shoot-em-up experience. No complaints.

Outside of combat you have a camp where you can talk to the girls you've collected and view a gallery for the lewds.
The talks rotate from a few set conversations, which is a shame since the camp feels so half-baked. Still, I appreciate the gallery.

    Story:
Practically nonexistent. You're tasked by the king to go save his daughters from demons, and on the way you collect some more girls of your own.
MC looks old and has a butt chin which tells you about the tone of the game. Don't take it too seriously. If you don't like his face, most lewds have his face covered.

    Lewds:
Lewds aren't animated, and some scenes are voice acted.
There are a total of 9 big scenes (1 scene for 6 ladies and Best Girl has 3 scenes) and 6 smaller scenes for random girls you see around.
Art is great if you like vanilla and women being lewd even to people that aren't you. I love the art style. It has a soft, cute aesthetic to it.

    Tips for tryhards:
I played the entire game on hard. Here's some tips:
    - Like all shoot-em-ups, focusing on keeping yourself alive over dealing damage will get you pretty far.
    - Abuse your charged attack, its insanely good. It instakills most enemies over a fairly large aoe and destroys projectiles, so sometimes I'd just not dodge at all and just slice the attacks away.
    - Every boss has a window between attacks where you can approach and hit a charged attack. Practice your perfect charged attack, find that window, and let loose.
    - I liked the arrows and the kunai the most for weapon choice. I found javelin the clunkiest, but I still found use out of it (I preferred it for the snake charmer boss fight). If you're really struggling, try the kunai, I think you move at full speed even while attacking.

Overall I found the game pretty fun, and the lewds are an extremely good bonus. Definitely worth a try!

    So basicaly it's a shoot'em'up.
I kinda like that genre, so to review it quickly, it's okay, it's not ground breaking, it's not bad, it's just okay. Practicaly oneshoted the game in normal but for the antepenultimate stage, which is a pain in the ass (but in easy nothing resist you). Around 1 to 2 hour long.
    Now for the saucy part.
There's one scene for each stage, 3 stage by level, 5 level, so 15 scene(+1 bonus). Which is honest for a 2 hour long game.

Now why is it so good?
Well the tone is something else, very light hearted, very funny.

And there is nothing to spoil your fun. Everything is just done well enough so it's not a bother. Not a bug, not a mispel, not too long, hard or grindy... If i had to absolutely criticize something it would be the scoreboard that are a bit too long but yeah, that would be all(and honestly it's not even that long for a shooter).

So yeah nothing to regret in at least giving it a chance.

It's a very nice game, but i find it lacking in the H scenes department.
Great bullet hell with good comedy and simple game loop.

It's a bit grindy to get VN style sex scenes, but overall it's a nice game.

I'll give it an excellent, because well, it's an excellent game... With decent lewds. To sum up, normal shmup, decent lewds.

    Gameplay, 5/5: Just Rounding Up
It starts off easy and gets pretty tough by the end. I've beaten a couple of Touhou games from easy to normal so I at least have some experience. Beat the game on normal though.
Some minor gripes is that hitboxes can feel a bit off, where it feels skinny length wise sometimes, but tall height wise (so left to right feels small which is nice, but bottom to top feels a bit tall sometimes like hitting spike traps in the later levels).
Maybe the weapons have their own niches too, but I basically stuck with the sword and sometimes arrows as those felt the most... Damaging? Normal? Honestly it's just gut feeling so I won't take out points from my rating, but feel like it's something that should be mentioned.
Minor annoyance, but there's like, 2 "press any button" to start and it can't be skipped, which, again, is a minor annoyance.
I'd give the game more like a 4.7 but yeah.

    Visuals, 5/5: Very Good
Art is well drawn. I mean, what you see is what you get. Few things look funny such as one of the succubi when going to stage 4, where her eyes look a little far apart, but otherwise, the girls look good, and our MC looks funny.
Tiles connect properly, stages obviously repeat but it repeats with enough variance so it does not feel same-y. It's also unique.
A gripe is that the H-Scenes are not actually animated (unless I have to beat it on Hard or something).

    Audio, 5/5: Good
The music is good. It's varied, unique (enough) and enjoyable. As I've said in some other reviews, they aren't on the level of "SFW Games" in terms of music, but nonetheless are good and not stock, generic, or destroy the ears.
Sound effects are nice too, from pick-up sounds, to the various oofing and grunting. Some of the suck sounds are also quite sensual.

Story, 5/5: Goofy Ah Type Beat
It's a generic, "knight saves princess(es)" story but our titular hero has the mightiest of butt chins. The story does not take itself seriously at all, with every FMC just kinda letting our protag do what he wants with them (I mean, the succubus got outplayed so a bit different but nonetheless).
I got the good (simple?) ending, and it's nice. For a joke story, it's good. If you want something deeper with better connections and deeper feelings, well, not for you.

Overall, 5/5: Excellent for Your Time
At maybe 3 hours long, it's a game with a good run-time, good gameplay, good music, and good art. Well, excellent. Obviously you wouldn't be here if you didn't like the anime artstyle. It's just a schmup that gets rather tough by the end but very doable. Can get a bit frustrating however.

    Solid simple space invader game.
    - good humor
    - rather easy difficulty besides few last stages and last boss, beat pretty much everything no-hit on hard difficulty, then died to last boss 25+ times, hes really a bullet sponge
    - good H scenes/art, not animated though with very basic story
    - gameplay is fun for a while but has not enough interesting mechanics like upgrades so it gets repetive, there is mini-boss at every stage though so thats cool
    - beat in around 2+ hours

Very well made game. The art and writing is surprisingly high quality, despite being a comedy that doesn't take itself seriously. The gameplay is also a decent shoot-em-up style that is a refreshing change from the ocean of rpg/visual novels we're given on a daily basis.

My only complaint is that the sex is pretty vanilla and lacks variety, but that's just nitpicking.

Took me about 3 hours to beat on hard difficulty. Easily worth your time.

So, really good 90-th arcade-inspired experience with solid art, (even if, subjectively, I am not a fan of this style.) pretty dynamic gameplay, and even multiple endings!
The game has a requirement for some kind of skill and two hands on a keyboard... Be aware of that fact.
    Would play without spice,
    10/10 bomberman bombs.
