I don't care how successful a propaganda campaign the Smith's ran or even if that Journo was on their pay roll. Outlets generally avoid saying stuff like that because they can and will be sued, and it's not like she's talking to someone poor who can't afford a defamation suit either, our character is the primary share holder of a massive corporation!
That scene needs a rewrite. A real Journalist would do the scumbag lawyer move of doing everything to insinuate without actually saying it, something like "How does it feel to be in charge of the company after your fathers convenient death". Everything heavily implied, nothing stated, because the MC hasn't been convicted as far as I understand, he was framed in public opinion but not in the eyes of a court
EDIT: Why is Alex mandatory? I tried to turn her down, still got her ambush at the coach, didn't have a black out choice before that, to miss.
