Writing Lin in earnest again has been an interesting experience. Kind of just looking for places for her to be and what the core of completing her will be. I think it might be another thing where it might seem like I'm waffling a little bit but it becomes obvious what I was going for in retrospect.
We have two main scenes today that are both on the longer side of things. Firstly You can meet Lin by the lake on Friday Night, where she is being a little bit quiet. She'll have a nice little talk with you and you may even, scandalously, end up resting your head in her lap! If you inquire about the past, you'll even get a mail.
Then you can go and have a new version of skipping stones on Saturday. I ran into a little issue with the tension levels being lower... so I might revisit the scene. Some cute stuff definitely happens, but it's lacking some punch. You can also get another mail from this one as well!
Two mails! We tested so it should all work and nothing can possibly go wrong.
Unlick the improvement to the save file. A few weeks ago I added double arrows for moving through 5 screens of saves at a time. All works perfectly well! The Auto and Quick save pages... they permanently broke the ability to load games if you clicked on them... Whoops. It's all solved now in all available versions of the game so that's good. But it was annoying to have to go into.
I'm probably going to be wrapping up Lin C5 next week, which seems short, but she has a lot of content already... MAYBE I'll take another week for cleanup but that depends on how things go. I've come up with the perfect storyline for her to progress further... it's not complex but I think it's very her. Now I just have to tell it... I think I'm also starting to repeat myself...
It's still reasonably early for a thursday... but the goal is to get it to regular bed times, so this is really just a pure benefit to only be half 3 in the morning. I'm going to go to bed now!
Oh wait, story time...
Did you know you can just order an industrial quantity of socks for cheap? A whole garbage bag full! So if you need a christmas present for someone... Socks aren't great... a comically large pile of socks though... that's something else entirely.
