Can anyone send me the DLC file? I know how to disable the protection for DLC, but I need the file to do that.

If you have bought the DLC, you should have received it by mail. If you didn't buy it but still have it, please share it. If you don't have that file, then we're all in the same situation.
This version of the game should allow you to play with the DLC without having to activate it with a code. Without the DLC.rpa file in the games folder, it will display a warning after starting the game and there will be options to play the DLC scenes during gameplay BUT selecting them will lead to errors. Same everywhere the DLC is involved: the options are displayed but selecting them will crash your game. To fix it, it should be as simple as adding the DLC.rpa file into the game folder. As none of us have the DLC.rpa file, we will have to wait for someone to actually share it but this version should allow anyone to play without having an activation code.

Yep, that's the point, we only need a dlc now, but not a steam one afaik, because that one would require the base game on account. So we just need to buy a dlc on their website or itch.io for example

Guys, there is bad news, I downloaded version 1.7 of Camp Buddy that was shared in this thread, I added the DLC and right in the DLC scene an error appears and closes.

Would you mind sharing the DLC files with me? I am able to bypass the activation but I am still missing the actual files.
