The issue is not the definition, but the players who can't make the difference between "jealous MC" and "frustrated/jealous themselves". And it's precisely what both Count Morado and C3p0 pointed to.irrelevant to whether it's ntr. and you know better than not read f95 defininitions. netorare: "Designed to cause jealousy by having the romantic interest involved with someone other than the MC."
A character that isn't a LI can not NTR the MC since they were never romantic interactions between the twos. Yet some claim that it's NTR because they have the start of a hard on when seeing the character on the screen. In their (limited) mind, the MC own every girls in the game and they should all either be abstinent or have sex with the MC.
