Seeking Can you reccomend a Not too extreme sidescrolling game(s)?

Think of River City, something like that... but so far, it's either Lolis, or Rotten Abominations straight from the underground, some monsters are ok if they are easy, like plant based, wolves or something...

If it was humour it would be better.

Do you have anything else? I mean, i'm ok with "bandits" and such, but they must be "happy", like "ironic", don't know if you get it:

For a sidescroller, I can't think of more like that. Third Crisis is a lot like that though.
