You don't run the ResponseModifier first, the StartCH batch file will do it for you. It will also copy something to your clipboard automatically. Just run the batch file, when response modifier is opened, click the big start button in it, do the game auth and click stop.
For the lazy people, here are more detailed instructions I posted a while ago, it will work for v16 as well. If a new version releases, it may still work, don't DM me on discord asking if it does, try it yourself.
Errors:
If you get WRONG NUMBER OF SEGMENTS error, it may require a key that is properly formatted, try using this:

If it still gives you the same error, check that response modifier is running and has permissions to change the proxy settings. Try forcing it to run as admin (Right click => Properties => Compatibility => Run this program as an administrator should have a checkmark next to it. => Apply => Close)
If you are UNABLE TO ACCESS INTERNET, check your proxy settings in windows (Open settings app, click on Network & Internet, on the left there should be a Proxy option, click there. Disable the proxy.)
VPN running at the same time as the responsemodifier may cause issues, try disabling your VPN temporarily while you do the unlock.
If you get any other errors try above troubleshooting, it should fix it.
If you're still having trouble, send me a DM on discord at tvojamamav2 I will try to help you as best as I can. You can always grab the responsemodifier zip file from page 43 where I've posted it.
You can verify the file has not been modified by running the following command from powershell, your hash should match mine:

I honestly have no idea why the response modifier isnt working for me. I unzipped the game, put the extracted files into the root folder, opened Start_CH and did everything up to the point where you click paste, and when I try to verify the key the game crashes to desktop. No error message or anything.
If your game crashes, you need to start the game using the 'Intel OpenSSL Fix.bat' or use the modified 'start.bat' instead of the 'Start_CH.bat.
so I can start and play 0.14 and 0.16 without any problems.

But first I have some big news: We've been working towards publishing Captain Hardcore on Steam for a long time, and I'm very happy to announce the page will soon be live for you to wish list! More details coming soon!
As for Steam keys, Valves policy states they won't give out unlimited keys for crowdfunding campaigns like Patreon, so we can't make any promises. We'll try to give out keys to supporters if possible, but ultimately it's up to Valve and how many they'll grant us.
However, all Patrons that pledge a total more than or equal to the purchase price WILL receive a full version downloadable from Patreon when the game reaches version 1.0.
Your pledges will accumulate towards this, for example you could pledge on four different occasions and still receive a full copy of the game on release, even if you're not currently subscribed.

PC version 0.17 is progressing really nicely and I'm currently working on expanding male customisation options. This will be the main feature of 0.17 and I'll have more details to share soon!
Here's some of the other features that'll be in 0.17:
New hair physics - All mesh hair styles now have physics! The ability to touch and interact with hair adds a lot to the feel of the game. Advantages of this technique over simulated hair: Better collision, physical touch and far better performance! You can see it working well with this new long braids style:
Clothing - I'm working on new clothing items including glasses and harnesses which work well when combined with the existing clothing items:
New paddle - This new paddle has bendy/springy physics which helps you get that spanking motion just right!
The main feature of 0.17 will be the expanded male customisation options, I'll share more on this in my next dev post!
After 0.17 the plan for the next few PC updates will be to focus on completing male customisation options, dynamic behaviours, facial expressions and the orgasm system. I'll also be releasing another Quest update ASAP after completing 0.17!

Desktop mode is supported but I'm honestly not really sure how good it is. Code login is the same as VR, check my comment above on this page for the instructions.
If anyone has time, and a Oculus Quest (with internet going through the PC) to fuck around with, I'd like to give cracking the quest version a shot again (this time through a different method though, modifying the APK directly isn't an option unfortunately). You need to download the "ResponseModifier.exe" and the "Start_CH.bat" from page 43. Put them both in the same folder as "Captain Hardcore.exe" and "EULA.html".
Now If you are on Quest/Quest 2 etc
1> Start Oculus app on your PC.
2> Turn on your Oculus device and launch your link
3> Once the Link menu pops up click on the view desktop button
4> Lift the HMD so you can see your real desktop.
5> Click on "Start_CH.bat" This will open up 2 windows. One is a Terminal Window (the batch file is operating in) and the other is the "ResponseModifier.exe" (Yellow box)
6> Click Start in the yellow box.
7> Click back over into the black box and press the "UP" key on your keyboard. Now wait for the game window to pop up.
8> Press the V key (switches between VR and not VR) you wanna be not VR right now.
9> Walk over and click the paste button, then click activate button. Wait a couple seconds and click enter button.
10> Press the V key on your keyboard again to go back to VR mode.
11> alt+tab back to the yellow box and click stop.
12> Lower you HMD back over your eyes and enjoy.
(((Dont get me wrong this was not working for me yesterday. I have changed no files. No different status of my network. But I rebooted my pc and it started working))) I did go through and make sure all my VPN, proxy settings were unticked, still did not work but after a reboot it did.
As for the Quest Standalone version.... Anyone tried to sideload luckypatcher onto the quest??
Edited cause i missed a step. I posted exactly the steps I took to get it to work. If it does not work for you this way double check your network settings and make sure all the VPN and Proxy settings are how it was in an earlier guide.

Also I have v0.16 now. Tried the responsemodifier to see if it works. It still works on 16.
