Oof, okay thanks for this. The only possible reason you got this is because you ended Kiana's path. You can either go back and fix that, or wait until I patch the issue. Let me know which you'd prefer, I can advise you on how to get back on Kiana's path, but it's way back when she cooked you food.
Yeah, so certain decisions you make can permanently have you miss events for certain characters. There aren't many and I think this one for Kiana is the only tricky one, the others are really straightforward.
That's standard for visual novels, but it shouldn't result in stuck progress. How long until you can release a patch to fix it? You also mentioned that I could go back and fix it, which presumably means heading down on a different path.
Yeah, essentially it was the result of missing brackets in the code. The bug is fixed, but repackaging and especially uploading could take a while given my horrible internet connection. Which is why I offered the alternative, you'll go down a different path, but ultimately it just means Kiana's events are available, and there's some more dialogue here and there. Otherwise it's not much different at all.
My current path has Kiana at level 1 affection because I went to the hot spring with Mei a while back before choosing any of Kiana’s events. Kiana’s events immediately disappeared afterward because she was distraught that the captain had gotten to Mei first. This is the path that caused me to get stuck now. I'd prefer to stay on this one, but I suppose I could go back and choose Kiana’s cooking event first until you get the patch out. I had it saved, anyway. About how long will it be until it's ready?

Both of these issues are fixed. Head to the first page where the downloads are, you'll find the link to the patch under the EXTRA section below the DOWNLOAD section. Replace the scripts file in your CaptainVRse-0.8-pc/game folder. Let me know if any issues persist, and thank you for bringing this to my attention.
I downloaded the new script and replaced it, but when I tried to start the game, a notepad file named "traceback" popped up saying "I'm sorry, but an uncaught exception occurred.
That's unfortunate... I was hoping to spare you from having to re-download the whole game again, but I guess it can't be helped. You'll find the bug fixed version in the same link as the patch.
No, it'll be like when a new version comes out. Your saves will be retained.

Thanks so much, it worked perfectly. Wow, this update was absolutely worth the wait. You're quite a talented writer! I was hoping for there to be another branch where the captain could choose whether or not to tell Bronya, but the way it played out was even better.
