if you mean stages, then 4: Obsisdian Hall, Magic Doll house, Forbidden Laboratory and Mother Chapel (5 if you count the Tower Top, but its kind of an ending realted one - there's nothing you can do once you there, except to follow the ending route)
if you mean scenes as in h-scenes, then a "fuckton" would be the closest definition, though I may count if you need the exact number*
You need to find all of the hidden "Paradise Keys" in order to find the true exit of the Inverted Chapel after defeating the hidden boss (

<MEGA SPOILER, do NOT watch if you want to encounter meeting the boss first, of which I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you DON'T view said video until then, only watch it when you're having trouble with the boss and want to see what maneuvers to use against it) in it. Before CoT was completed, you could complete the Chapel level normally without consequence in previous builds of the chapel being the sole level to choose, but now you need to search for the key items placed throughout both aspects of the Chapel stage, though you obviously don't need the panties of course, just ignore those. All you really need is the Cross key item from the Head Priestess, the others you can find later on I believe. You'll need to search for the guide to each somewhere in this forum or the CoT wiki as it at least holds info on each of the Paradise Key locations.

Just go to the top of the comments and in the search bar where you normally search threads you can search individual comments too.
Just type in a key word like key, paradise or paradise key and you will surely find comments talking about them.

You are a true hero. Throwing someone under the succu-bus is not a heroic thing to do, only devils do that.
They are probably trying to avoid spoiling the plot and the other secrets.

I still can't believe that video is still around. I recall tryharding that boss just because many were saying it was too difficult, then recording it to help here. Only accessible with link, but still on YouTube Kids, lmao.

I also want to say, fuck the chapel.
No idea why the author decided to give it such a huge difficulty spike.
Doable but not very fun.
I realised that the Test is completely meaningless because it doesn't teach adventurers how to survive in the wild, it only teaches them how to resist their temptations. They need to know how to make weapons such as spears, how to make/find shelter, how to defend against animals such as bears, how to defend against thieves, and how to find food/water. The only thing they can do is resist the urge to go for loot if they see it in the wild and resist having sex with an evil succubus, but besides that, this test is pointless. How are straight women and gay men supposed to become adventurers? This castle shouldn't even exist because I fail to see how fornication is going to help anyone survive in the harsh wild. The test should've taken place in an area akin to a Buddhist Temple wherein they are taught how to resist their temptations with no sex involved (Buddhist monks do it all the time) and how to actually survive in the wild. Also, everything that happened in the game would've been avoided if someone had the mental capacity to put cameras everywhere in the castle to ensure the humans safety and, of course, humans would be looking at the cameras not fiends. It honestly seems like the creator didn't think the story through and just wanted to make a game about sex and among other things...

I'd imagine they were tested for disease beforehand if they could contract them, same way porn stars are tested before going on the job.
What about the men? The game says nothing regarding an examination prior to the test.

That boss was really difficult. I would even rate it harder than the secret final boss.
4 phases of dodging projectiles and then a very long black hole attack.
You get caught but manage to break free? Now you must endure phase 4 and the black hole again, without clothes.
Getting through the entire chapel while avoiding Purple Spike was already hard enough, this boss fight reach a new level of difficulty.

I agree the priest was difficult considering the previous bosses are not that oppressive or follow a simple mechanic, such as memory input or just running around (although I still can't beat the doll boss on hard mode), and I had to try it around 10 times before beating it, more tries till doing it hitless.
The purple spike section can be avoided entirely by removing the cross at the checkpoint upon entering the inverted chapel (it's a tedious backtracking, but possible).
I was referring to when it was a legit test; before Yezter did everything she did.
Here's the thing. Nobody knows what the test pre-Yetzer looks like.
Even the first dungeon that looks like a test the most could have been modified.
Huh, you are right. I suppose the only reason to continue through with the cross is for self-satisfaction to finally get rid of the purple spike at the end.

Should've used nearest neighbor interpolation to scale up the FoBs pixel art. Right now they're way too blurry.

yeah, sorry about that, I used like versions 1.22A and 1.05B from back like 2022 or smth, that launched with small window size and haven't even had a full screen mode as far as i know*
Im the only one that thinks that the final update was kind of a let down? I mean the first time i tried this game i was so excited to see what the new leves were going to be. 1 year passed... then 2, it felt like and eternity until the dev published and everything from the animations, the gameplay just didnt have the same charm that the first 2 levels had. Dont get me wrong i think that the animatios and the art style its amazing but the last couple of levels feel so boring and unintresting, like i said at the beginning... just feels like a big let down
