Also under genre put NTR(avoidable) and sharing(optional)Thank you so much for the complete explanation and your constructive feedback. I'll take everything you said into account.
Also to further explain things I'll give examples of games and things that they do that annoy some people.
Edit: Also mods I'm not insulting these games in anyway just only trying to give examples of things
Peasant's Quest: Early on at the end of a popular characters questline you get married but part of their goblin marriage ceremony the entire tribe gangbangs the bride as one last chance to knock her up. This pissed off a fuckton of people as it was sudden and unavoidable until way later that a different scene could be chosen instead.
Legend of Queen Opala Series: This a very popular series where all the girls are canonical sluts and you play as a male MC.
Yet this series does have a very annoying flaw you should be aware of and it's this: In these games the girls will fuck any monster, dog, anthro character, or anything with a dick without a second thought yet you the MC has to jump through hoops, suck up to them, and give them shit for them even to look your way.
No one wants to play as a simp that has to put in a three times the effort than some random guy of the street for the same reward
Roundscape Adorevia: This game has was inspired by Opala and it has another thing you might want to be aware of and that's "hidden required scenes." Basically there are scenes where your female companions will have sex with other characters or animals, but you have the choice to simply not see the scene, but the scene still happened so you didn't really avoid it at all which is annoying.
Roundscape gets less shit for it as like Opala you kind of are just hanging out with a band of sluts, but remember that hiding something from the player isn't the same as the player avoiding it
Bunch of random games: This doesn't apply to you, but I think it would help you understand what can really pisses people off, changing genre/audience or mislabeling.
One game that was quickly abandoned(probably do to backlash) was described as a harem/romance game but the opening of the game had everyone already fucking each other (minus the MC) and one love interest blowing a knockoff chocobo.
Obviously this isn't what one would consider romantic or a harem.
Having a pure harem romance game suddenly add NTR years into development is a great way to piss off people.
Another thing that is extremely annoying that a lot of games will do is that they don't want the romances to progress too fast, but they don't want there to be zero sex scenes so they just shove in a bunch of voyeur where the MC watches other characters have sex instead. This kind of gives off the image that your character is just some kind of voyeuristic loser considering everyone else can get sex besides him
