I've tried with the non compressed version (from the OP) and still the same, I'm going to start again I guess but not until a couple of updates

Looks like the game isn't loading the pictures for the rooms. You can try extracting this in the main game folder. However if the pictures in this zip are blank to you then you might have problems with webp files.
