This happened on the prologue and it's happening again on Episode 1. I'm still amazed at how some people just can't see how things are like from Jaye's point of view at all. I kind of wonder if these people also function like that IRL or if it's just for porn game reaction only.
I can definitely understand Jaye's resentment towards mc when he up and left, because that was a dick move on his part, even with the reasoning he had. But I was very much unsure how I felt the moment she went from starting to understand mc to quickly getting pissy and turning vindictive without actually hearing him out on this one, ESPECIALLY with how many accidents that have happened where she outright assumed things about mc only to find out they were wrong.
Jaye is what got me interested in this game. I lost a lot "love" for her with the whole fanatising masturbation scene, especially after she'd just admitted loving the MC to herself. I understand her getting pissed at the MC and her actions at the start, because she was scared etc. Even understand the anger with the funeral and calls. I love a good redemption story and love arc of sister that hates/loathes/ is pissed off / bitchy whatever to loving sister so Jaye is still good in my books. Though if she fucks anyone else she's dead to me.
The comments and venom at the lawyer's near the end seemed today out place because of how it seemed they had been making progress. It's obviously jealousy that makes her act that way, I suspect too that is why she brought the plus one she did. I'm still a huge fan of her and think the MC is the biggest fucking douche bag brother I've met.
This game is well written but so incredibly frustrating. I am 100% off team-MC. I want to reach into my monitor and punch him in the face over and over. I'm sorry I don't care how shitty you feel or angry or whatever the fuck he was feeling, that you disapear for 5 years, come back for a funereal, say 2 sentences to your sister and fuck off again for 6 months to a ski resort. It's a seriously dick move. I have nothing but loathing for him.
Then he doubles down on the doucheary, at the last meeting with the office, when there are so many questions he needs answers too but is too chicken shit to ask about. Already tried to tell his sister it wasn't what she though outside, but no now doesn't want to ask questions because of the sister. He should have so many questions and suspicions about Mallory after that meeting, but just blindly accepts she's coming along. WTF?
I know it's all building the stage and telling the story, but I'm so dissapointed with time wasted on Ray, Linda and Erica and even Mallory (though I have some suspicions regarding her) instead of focussing on the MC and Jaye. I guess it's a sign of the good writing that I really enjoy this game and yet totally hate it as well. After that cruel cliff hanger at the end I can't wait for the next episode, but at the same time I want to give this another 2 years so I can skip all "shit" (uninteresting side characters for me) and focus on Jaye and the MC.
