VN - Ren'Py - Completed - Chasing Sunsets [v1.01] [Stone Fox Studios]

Chasing Sunsets has rapidly become one of my favorite VNs on this site. The MC is easy to identify with and I enjoy putting myself into his shoes, especially during his period as an adventurer/aimless wanderer. The girls in the game are all very attractive and they each have a unique characterization. They aren't cookie-cutter personalities plastered onto different DAZ renders as is the case with the weaker VNs offered on this site. The dev updates in a timely fashion and each chapter has a good amount of content. This is a game that you should play/support if you can. Definitely in my top five.

A well-written story about reconciliation. Renders are great altough I must point out sometimes Jaye eyes are too bright (or maybe it's intentional? idk). It's a well paced slice of life slash drama, nothing over the top except for some stuff with David. 9/10.

Definitely one of my top five VN's.
The story is well written, the characters feel as reals as possible, each with it's own personality, especially Mallory and Jaye are both lovely ( it's a tough choice to prefer one over the other), the dev's did a great job in forging them.
The MC is really good with his flaw and strong point it's easy to look through his eyes and be immerse in the games, and the side character are on par with the rest.
Very good renderings, body proportions well done and believable, the right amount of sad and good moments make this game really enjoyable. definitely worth to play.
A tad bit of critique

Chasing Sunsets is easily top 5 sweetest VN on this site. Story about two step siblings who were in love all this time but can't even tell each other how they felt due to circumstances? Count me in.

Renders are great, excellent characterizations, clever writing. Malory and Jaye are both super likable yet has different personality. When you read Stone Fox patreon page description where one of the dev said he's been reverse engineering popular VNs to find out what makes them compelling, you can't help but notice which VNs they are talking about. It's influenced by many popular works and yet it still managed to be unique.

One small nitpick: That scene with David in Syria? Libya? felt really out of place and kinda broke immersion

Wow, this game is really good! For me, it's easily top 5 on this site. Interesting and beautiful characters, good writing and story. There's really not that much in the way of sex content but the buildup feels worth it imo. One negative thing is that I'd feel like shit having to choose between one of these two girls. I mean I know who i'd choose already but yeah, it wouldn't be fun.

I am loving this VN so far, for some reason i had bypassed it on a number of occasions and now i have played it i realise it was a big mistake.

it got a very good mix of dark drama and laughs, the renders are stunning and the story is very good. this gets added to my "cant wait for the next update list"

I like the pictures and the storyline. Lot's of details in the picture. The story is quite emotional and I feel with the "actors". Hope everything goes well with all of them. However I only tried the path where the siblings work together, don't like the fighting approach of the other path.

The bad

• Prologue was weird. I'm not used to having chapter length prologues (It did provide essential information though).

The in-between

• 'Let me tell you the story...' was not the greatest but a solid way to start.
• The graphics for the first chapter aren't great. I'm not sure anyone has been able to model children and make it feel real enough.

The good

• The story pull you in as soon as the prologue ends (good expressions and believable reactions).
• The graphics have been improving each version (might be worth redoing some chapters once the novel is done).
• Delivers what was promised without compromising or slowing down the story pacing too much.
• The scenes are extremely good.

I recommend this to anyone and everyone.

P.S. If you are wondering why I criticized it and still gave it 5 stars. The game is one of the best on this website and it deserves an appropriate rating.

Characters are interesting and story is good. Honestly, 4 stars just because of writing. Other game would get 3. Visuals quality is very decent. Facial expressions, hair, bodies, lighting. Stunning.

What I didnt like:
- almost no sex scenes, even if there's a plot reasons behind it. Just no fun.
- no animations. There is 1 loop with questionable angle and thats it.
If these two things "getting fixed" it will be almost perfect game. I mean devs aim high already, why to stop halfway ?

1 thing I didnt undertand, 'cause I played half of the content released with WT mod: do we have to choose between two girls ? Tbh, feels wrong. It's not just harem kink or smth like that. Both of them are incredibly interesting and good, I'd feel like shit if I had to choose. Can't remember any other game when I had such thoughts.

And my usual closure: will gladly buy finished game in Steam, if you'll release it there. Good luck in development.

Review based on v0.4a;

- Dialogs are funny and witty. There's a lot of storyline in between explicit scenes, but the story is believable and interesting, so worth it.
- Renders are amazing and fit each line of dialog really well.
- Realistic (but beautiful) looking characters.

Excellent indeed. Gorgeous renders specifically JAYE. Loved the chemistry, the build up everything's great. Storytelling is unique to say the least but on point, no extra garbage. Best of all the no perving unlike most vn's out there. Liked the David arc of the story it was emotional, inspiring.

A very good game; one of the best on the site. I'm not usually interested in incest themes, but a lack of interesting content lately brought me to try this one on the strength of other reviews. I am sooooo glad I did!

The writing is outstanding, and really shines. There are some laugh out loud moments, really serious emotional moments/content, and hot lewd scenes. I'm already agonizing over which of the main LI's I like more... I can't decide. They are both great!

I Really like the setting and the characters. The facial expressions and animations are top-notch in my opinion. My only gripe is that the creators are taking their sweet ass time releasing new updates, Happily supporting them on Patreon since version 0.3.

The game is great on all fronts in my opinion: Renders are 10/10 (I love the main redhead especially). The story seems to be flowing nicely so far. The only petty gripe that I have is that we could see a tad more hot scenes. But that's just me being picky, I'm sure we'll get what we want in due time. Give this game a try!

Awesome plot line(till now) not a randomly generated story or a common story you'd see in nearly every game , nice Graphics and facial expressions seems original instead of built up acting. Dialogues are well thought in order to slowly build the mood. The only reason that I was upset was due to lack of chapters well can't really complain about that tho. I am planning to becoming a patron for this cause I believe it deserves support. REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS GAME'S CHAPTER 4.

Man, this VN is so good. Can't believe I waited this long to try it. But I can't seems to avoid the fact that MC's face really resemble Tom Brady's face, always make me chuckle when I think of that

Anyway, this is really awesome game. Perfect all around, from story perspective, dialogue, and of course the art itself including the in-game UI elements and renders. Dope stuff. I believe this is one of the best game in adult VN catagory, hell, even perhaps the best one if I say so myself.

Really good game, although it is kind of short currently, the devs have already been able to prove their extremely good story telling skills and character development. Every character feels unique and has a story to go along with them, not to mention that the renders and models are really good and it's extremely well written. The entire premise of the game is intriguing and the devs seem to put a large importance on being honest and caring about their supporters, all in all, easy 5/5, might actually support this one myself

To think that I almost skipped this, the preview pictures really don't do it justice. This is another game that is easily better than 99% of what you can find here. Why?

- The story telling is absolutely sublimely wonderful. The characters are all lovable in their own quirky ways. The game feels alive and it's all due to some really potent writing. It'd carry the game even with stick figure renders.

- Renders are not just great, they are crafted with love. This game has the best facial expressions of any game bar none.

- It respects its readers/players. It is not unnecessarily gamey. Chasing Sunsets wants to tell a story. You should come along.

Also, please support them. They deserve it.

Absolutely Beautiful.
This isn't just one of many "Adult" games out there, this is a beautiful narrative story with Adult elements, just go in with those expectations.

The only con I feel is that it takes a while to get going, it really does, but if you persevere through it, you'll realize how thats important to establish integrity to the characters and add gravitas to the plot.
Technically, The models are gorgeous, the visuals strike and pop, the backgrounds suit the situations well and the animations are decent but this is just the start.
The Main Cream is the story, and the characters woven into it and its got one of the most likable/relatable MCs out there, and though this is just the beginning the stat system is also not too intrusive and gamey/ nor is fully irrelevant, I'm curious to see where its going and I'm all for the journey ahead.

Absolute Gem right here, and Kudos to the whole studio for pulling this off, Can't wait to immerse in the stories to come ahead. ♥

How did i just find this. a visual novel where i actually just want to read and follow the story and even feel the sex almost doesnt belong because the story is that good!. I damn near teared up when they concluded Davids storyline. the way all the interactions are written makes it feel down to earth and believable .
