As a pikmin fan, let me tell you about patience...10 years.....10 whole years for a game, it wasn't even that good, but I loved it because it just had so much chill content. I ain't expecting Vanny to drop C.H.K.N Nightreign edition but as long as there's a chunk of decent content, I'll be glad. A lot of this is Vanny working out kinks so it should be much easier from that update onwards.

I gotta respect your patience for one game, for i too suffered a similar wait for another game, previously mentioned Silksong, 7 whole years and it's finally coming out, but you've lasted 10, a whole decade, and for that, I commend you, a decade is a milestone in itself, whether you should be proud of waiting that long though... ehhh idk

If there’s one thing I’ve learned from this whole mess, it’s that I’ll never fund another Patreon-based game again. Fool me once, sure, but at this point I’ll just grab the update when it finally drops (if it ever does) and move on. Devs who actually deliver on time can get my money; the ones who keep stringing people along won’t.

What makes it worse is the endless excuses. Every broken promise gets smoothed over by a chorus of “it’s okay” from people who act like unpaid PR reps. That’s why nothing changes, the dev knows there’s always a swarm ready to absorb the backlash.

And no, it’s not “bad faith” to be upset that you’ve paid for almost a year with nothing in return. What’s bad faith is dismissing people with “touch grass” or “get a hobby” while ignoring the obvious: the game has been in a releasable state for months, but constant last-minute tweaks keep it in dev hell. That’s not polish, that’s stalling.

So yeah, don’t keep paying for broken trust. If you want accountability, stop funding it. and as for the "I'm not paying so why does it matter" posters; If you’re not paying, then why defend the dev like your life depends on it? For the people who did pay, it matters because they’ve been strung along for a year with nothing to show for it. Brushing that off with “touch grass” or “lol who cares” just makes you look like part of the shield that enables this cycle. If you don’t care, fine, but don’t act like those who got burned don’t have a right to call it out.

You are in all reason, I only came to see how he went to the game and I stayed to laugh at the users who continue with hopes, and more because of the guy who calls me gremling just because I call bad developer to the guy, I think that recently the same thing does the same thing with a guy who makes vn ia with traps and futanaris

Because being a solo developer is stressful and goodwill is completely free, and yea, I get that you're upset that your monetary investment has not gone as planned, counter argument is....what the fuck did you think was gonna happen? you know full teams of people have made games, built reputation and have gone completely off the radar only to drop 1 scene after a year and 50 glitches. Like genuinely, did you see A porn game you liked and just splashed out? no common sense or pre-planning at all? The fact you paid at all with the idea that the game would just immediately work with completion when it was in a fully beta state is inconceivable, some triple A games released at full price, were met with complete backlash and bugs, and then they just let it rot, you don't think people give up on their projects because someone just complains everyday while they struggle? see Mr Trunks over there, he is a patron and has direct connection to Vanny themselves, they provide help, insight and care and thus are paid back with previews and evidence that their money is going towards development. YOU clearly paid, sat there, didn't get what you wanted when you (should) know the gamble in Patreon backings then just cry when people are happy. NOW IF, you continue to be depressed over your own choices, I'd recommend taking it up with Vanny Dev themselves, see what they personally can do for you as a once backer, because I'd like this to be a safe place for Vanny themselves to release information.

TL: DR, talk to Vanny personally, keep the negativity to yourself, it's not that hard.

its a rpgmaker game dude, not the next wonder, it seems that there should be a tag that says "only dev" to see the other games that are actually made by a single person that if progress is seen, and talk to the developer when it obviously continue to say "tomorrow I take the update your trust" is not very reliable of your part,
Although what surprises me is that now the excuse is that as it is alone then it does not take it, it seems to me that for more than half of the developers here they are lonely or at least many of those who take games in RPG Maker are, I will stop continuing with this because the truth is foolish
And WTF is RPG Maker, people use it because it's easier than Unity and Godot, talk to me when I do it in Unreal Engine and no longer have pre-render animations

you think the dev ever wondered to release the game publicly one version behind the paid version?

seems like it would help since they're already close to entering version 0.5 and apparently released a version with more animations

It's impressive to me how many people talk about "supporting" as if it was a normal product purchase. Last time I checked patreon and subscribestar were platforms to donate to the creator, you don't purchase a product there, you throw money at the developer to keep him alive and working hoping for the best that they deliver the project to 1.0. There were creators that didn't deliver, sure, but there are some that do. Maybe after 10 years but they do, still that doesn't mean you should go spitting poison cuz you didn't get your money's worth. For some groups I've donated 10 times more money than the game would sell for does that mean it's wasted effort, that I should seek refund? No cuz I donated to keep the developer behind the idea to keep on working and not to buy the game. If you lot want to get the game with one time purchase then go to kagura or steam or some other platform that sells finished games. And I see that a lot of people expect lone devs to quickly learn the engine and make updates monthly, some of those devs make maybe a few hundred bucks on platforms, no way in hell you can live a month like that so a lot of them have jobs and like most jobs, working 5 days a week, those 160 hours per month, in some cases at least 200 per month + dev work is very hard to do. So folks, stop complaining if you don't actively spend money at the project and if you do spend the money then I guess there are better places to complain

I wish i can spend and donate to Vanny... but even i struggle with money lately... well i dont complain Vanny should take his time as longest the game itself is still alive and update keep comming even if its takes me another year or 2 year so it worth the wait i really enjoy this game cause im a fan of rpg games and fan of fnaf if i had the cash available i would donate but for now i struggle and need to save up BUT... i did have made in "Crushion ai" the website an ai chat about C.H.K.N to show support for Vanny and maybe get peoples attention so they can test out the demo or even the latest version it may not help much but this is what i can do for now to show support for his work... i give him time fellas no need to complain we all made mistakes in our lives but we can learn from it.. patient is the key remember that brothers.
