Also are we still "will they, won't they"ing? I'm sure Vanny will make an update at some point. Will it be soon? probably not. Will it be good? maybe. Will I be jonkin my peanits regardless of if it's out or not? sadly yes.
Funniest thing to me are the people talking about how rpg maker is a difficult engine to work with, like, it's the engine for beginners, it uses Java as its code, if it's the unite version it uses C#, there are tons of tutorials for it, games with animations on said engine exist as early as 2013, come on now

One thing is clear to me: Vanny is a liar, and this game will never see the light of day. I've seen creators make much better games with RPG Maker, working alone, creating 3D animations, and in far less time. If, for some reason, an update is released for this game, I hope it's complete or includes a ton of new content, because otherwise, nothing will justify the scam.
I keep wondering why no one's suing him. I mean, the guy's making a killing by scamming people with a pornographic game based on someone else's property, which he doesn't even own or have permission to use legally. So, his Patreon could easily be sued in two ways: using copyright (which I doubt would work because it's a parody) or, in this case, for fraud. I don't know how the process of suing a Patreon works, and I don't know if it would be effective, but if Patreon does respond to the lawsuits, I propose that if nothing related to the update is released by November 20th of this year, we file a fraud complaint against his Patreon.
Lmao, it's not worth it at all. Encouraging people to unsub or not sub at all until an update is released is what you should be doing, not wasting your time on a lawsuit that probably won't even be looked at, let alone taken seriously.
Vanny's making what, maybe $12k a year? You'd have a point if it were upwards of ten grand a month, but it's barely 1.5k.
It gets even funnier. I did the math and Vanny makes $1,212.71 USD per month (on patreon and subscribestar combined), which equals to $14,552.52 USD per year. You'd be laughed out of court if you tried to sue for so little.

im not gonna sugar coat this while i was catching up on the thread reading some of these comments kinda felt like watching two cave man fight. also i will put this down quickly for the guy earlier in the thread rpgmaker is very much difficult to work with when your trying to do things it wasn't even intended for its not as simple as editing the code.i seen some of the projects as they go on its as hard as modding xcom 2, weird stupid ass jank to a degree it will guarantee you go insane

Suing, while it might seem like so, isn't the answer to everything, and saying we should sue someone over their Patreon gives me the impression you have to much time you should not have. Also only the copyright owner can sue someone for using their copyrighted content, maybe do some research before throwing out ridiculous statements like these

I don't think suing is something to even consider, just point out the fact that he made his money and disappeared and discourage anyone else from spending anything else on this until he actually starts producing content, and honestly, even if he does release an update, I still wouldn't support the patreon until we start actually getting regular builds, I'd say at this point he's completely ruined any trust or faith most folks can have in the project, at the very least that's the case for me, so until that trust is properly earned back he really shouldn't be given another dollar. regardless, at the end of the day its your guys' time and money, so ultimately just do whatever you want with it, but the above is my opinion amongst many.
