I don't know man, i think you should stick to just one style, if you belive that 3D is easier or faster to develop you can do 3D the models look cute at least, but im not a supporter so XD, ask your patreons

Probably not speaking for everyone, but it's just so out of left field art-direction wise. It would be like a scene (but just one) written and directed by Tarantino in a cheesy romcom like "How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days". Just completely wack and unexpected. Nothing necessarily wrong with the content, just wildly inconsistent with the rest of the art.
