Some of you have contacted me to inquire about the continuation of this project due to a problem that arose after its publication. I want to inform you that this project will continue as long as there is support from you. Also, I have been informed that the game was published on a well known piracy site. I have addressed it and have seen the very destructive comments from the users of that site. I want to make several points clear:

1. I have stolen absolutely nothing from developer EvaKiss' work, neither the story nor the art of her original game. She will get credit for the creation of Cindy's character when chapter one is released in full. This credit has not been included before due to the fact that this is a sample of the product in development.

2. Creating fanfiction from an existing work is not considered theft or copyright infringement; this story was simply created because Cindy is a beloved character to fans, myself included.

3. Posting a digital product on a piracy site without the express consent of its creator and developer is considered theft.

Likewise, we want to make it clear that we are not trying to plagiarize her work, take away her fans or take advantage of the work done by EvaKiss, but it is simply a way to pay tribute to her work.

Get the feeling it's not just the "art" that's AI generated here...

This is nothing other than an obvious low effort cash grab, plain and simple. They'll get a few months subs out of it and then it'll die like so many other AI slop dumps.

1. I have conducted a internal investigation and have found I did nothing wrong.
Ya cool by the way I have this bridge I am trying to sell....

2. Yeah No, fanfiction is not done for profit having a partreon where you are charging for early release or voting right pretty much kills this argument and turn this back into plagiarism. Nice try though. I give you a C+ for effort. Also I feel the same way about Fan Fiction writers with a that gate keep chapters behind statements like "When my patreon earn x number of dollars..." doing it for tips fine but call them tips Do not gate keep features.

3. lmao, please do not steal this game where I stole the plot the character and most of the assets from someone else how dare you steal from me When I stole this first. Are you in government cause this sounds like something I have heard during elections....

We know you stole this from Evakiss if you really were making a "Fan side quest" Eva would have been credited in the first sentence of the first ever release i.e.: Making a fan game of Our Red String by Evakiss; it focuses on Cindy and her journey into the world of modeling. ect ect.

See if you had done that NONE of the heat you are getting would be coming your way instead you tried to be shady and failed.

The Real Slim Shady is disappointed in your attempts at being shady.

Because EvaKiss is a solodev who pours a lot of time, effort and money into creating high quality games for her fans to play. The games and the characters within them are her intellectual property, and even on a site such as this people still respect indie devs. Especially when they are well liked by the adult game community and are known for creating high quality products.

The only positive that I take away from this thread is that so many seem to like Cindy in ORS as well - I thought I was in a minority there. Her arc intrigued me the most because it was the least obvious but very rewarding one - given that you had to earn her affection and her reacting in ways that weren't obvious to me at first.

In this slop-fest, she's reduced to a cutesie dimwit who - at 25 years of age - sneaks in on her parents having sex and gets scandalized by it.
