Having loved depraved awaken I couldn't wait for this game to come out but when it finally did I never played it despite downloading it, for some ridiculous reason. Having seen a signature including Victoria however I realised what I must've been missing out on and my God I was missing out. Everything from the story, the quality of the writing itself to probably the best animations and renders I've ever seen in a visual novel on here. The building of characterisation of the protagonists throughout is fantastic and makes those more intimate scenes all the more enjoyable whilst maintaining the well paced story in a beautifully constructed world. I never really thought I could honestly view one of these games as much more than just something to get off to but this truly goes above and beyond in terms of both that element and just being an incredibly well made and coded game with branching that actually changes the direction of the story. I'm eagerly awaiting more updates but at the same time really don't want this to end.

I belive the sex scenes are in my top 2 but the story is the best i've ever seen i would keep playing the game even if we had no sex at all.

There's only one thing that could describe my opinion: The perfect game.
The best adult game I've ever played in my life. Great graphics and visuals everything felt so real, hot women with hot bodies, the best animated sex scenes I've ever seen everything felt like it was a real porn movie and of course a great story and gameplay. Can't wait for the next episode I'm looking forward to fuck the doctor "Hot body hot libs I want so many sex scenes with her" and Meredith "I know she's evil but since I saw her naked body in the shower I've been fantasizing about her" and of course more of Victoria the hottest body and the hottest ass.

Holy cow, if you thought a sex-game heavily inspired by Blade Runner was impossible to do without pathetically dropping into really poor taste, well think again and go play this little gem.
The sci-fi story and setting are pretty solid, and so are most of the characters and dialogues. The renders are AMAZING, and I would rank them 1st in the genre if it wasn't for a couple of esthetical choices here and there that weren't 100% to my taste (still great though, and it's an entirely subjective matter, you might find everything perfectly suited for you).
To top it all, incredible animation work: very smooth, very realistic, and with a couple of extra touches here and there that were really nice (things sometimes as subtle as a small facial expression change, for example).

Great game. This is the first adult game I've played where I was actually more interested in the plot than I was in the sex scenes. At the same time, the sex scenes were very well done as well. Great story, great renders, fantastic story, great sound. Looking forward to seeing more. Will definitely be trying a few more playthroughs with different choices but really enjoyed my first one.

Just finished my first playthrough (as of version 0.4.2) and I'm completely in awe.

From the very first moment, you understand the game is not like any other. The quality of every scene is stunning. Several times, I found myself stuck on a screen for a long time because the characters are beautifully done, the backgrounds are incredible and there are so many details everywhere.
And before you're starting to get used to the gorgeous scenes and the numerous great animations, the story hits you. Hard.

But, in my opinion, the best feature of this game is its world building, so rich. Every character has an interesting story, the world setting is full of mysteries. And the information are given in a very engaging way.

In summary, the renders are incredibly beautiful and detailed, there are many animations which are always great, but the writing is what makes this game so insanely good!

Choices matter since exist branching quite early. I don't know what else can I expect.
Glossary is very good, so it does not interrupt the flow of the story to explain unnecessary things.

The Doc and Chandra are the ones I like the most, wanna see more of Gloria.

I'll be honest the theme didn't interest me at first. The visuals and animations are spectacular so I gave it a chance. It wasn't until the cliffhanger of episode 1 when it grabbed my attention. With a unique soundtrack and exciting story arc, this is now one of my favourite titles on the site.

This review was long due but that seems to happen to me with every game, to be honest.

Anyway, suffice it to say that I consider this game to be the best on this site, and this dev is BY FAR the best too IMHO.

By that I mean that he delivers impressive renders, as some other devs do (the sexual and non-sexual animations give him an edge in my opinion though) but the game is also blessed with the most engaging story around here. You read and read, and then read some more without ever getting tired. Sex plays an essential role in the seasoning, but is not the main course. You want to know, you need to see what's next.
Kudos to him and his team in this complex department.

I remember saying that some of the girls' body types looked too similar to me. That was last year, when DA was complete and we started getting previews and info about his new project. However, I was absolutely wrong.
Firstly, Philly's attention to detail can be unhealthy (hey, not complaining!). They don't look the same, far from it.
Secondly, all the girls have different believable personalities, all of them are attractive in so many different ways; it's insane.
(Only gripe: I like all girl types, that includes black or mulatto women; I would love to see a black female character created by Philly, I'm sure he'd make the attempts of others pale in comparison. Hopefully in his next game)

Also, the music complements this masterpiece in a way that cannot be described. For a few days after I play an update I still find myself unconsciously humming some of the tunes time and again throughout the day, it's ridiculous!

Finaly, to top it all off he's one of the most reliable devs you will find, likes to communicate with the fans regardless of whether or not they're patrons, and works trying to find new ways to make our jaws drop.

As a fan of PhillyGames' previous work, I tried this game as soon as it came out and was immediately impressed by its visual quality. I decided to wait for a few more updates before giving it a more accurate rating and review, and at the current time (v0.4), and based in its consistency, I feel like it's already overdue.

In City of Broken Dreamers, PhillyGames presents us a story set in a mostly cyberpunk world, influenced by the film noir style, and with some fantasy elements added, offering us a creative and unique experience that goes beyond the usual sex-centered plots of many adult video games in this industry.

The main attraction is, of course, its gorgeous models, that are so detailed, and their animations so smooth, that you can't help but be captivated by them, helping you getting immersed in the world and the story behind the characters; all surrounded in beautiful lighting effects and backgrounds that are also rendered in great detail.

With interesting and appealing characters, and a plot ripe with action and with some investigation elements, this game will keep you invested and immersed in the story and its environment, making you crave for more, if you are interested in any of the things I described.

Bare in mind that this is still a work in progress, but even in its incomplete state, the effort and dedication put on this game are evident, as well as its consistency and coherence in the plot, and I expect that by its completion this game will be one of the best games of this genre.

Interesting and immersive plot set in a dystopian future setting.
Interesting and appealing characters, especially Katie and Victoria.
Gorgeous female models, very realistic in their looks and motions.
Great music, well suited for the setting.

CONS: Simplistic game-play, but works well for a visual novel type of game.

Recommended for all players for its gorgeous models, visuals, and animations, but especially for those who also like an interesting and thrilling story added for good measure.

Pretty sure that's the best story i ever had in a porn game. I really liked the characters and their stories. Nice background music too.
Those models look awesome allthough one or two animations looking a little bit off for me at least. It wasn't annoying in the slightest though.
Didn't play the other games but i think i'll give them a try now.

The second game from our beloved dev philly is INSANELY better than the first. Dont know how i should praise it.. Great charaters and even greater rendered scenes. The amount of work and attention to detail that Philly brings to Broken Dreamers is simply amazing.
Everything fits perfectly: story, characters, dialogues, visuals, animations, background music. Production values are through the roof on this pure jewel of a game.

Little warning dear nephew, I'm as biased as fuck in this review, because this right here's like a curfew, a dangerously hot game that will keep most other titles locked inside their folders but a few. Everything from the writing to the graphics & music will amaze you, not to mention the sexy creatures that will frequently try to taste you, your dick or clitoris will be constantly as hard as a branch of yew.

On a serious note: Damn, I'm left "bouche bée". I'm a sucker for cyberpunk themes, and when you have a developper like Philly making a project of said genre it's like a match made in heaven. I adored his previous work hence my signature and this one might have even topped it which is making me extremely pleased. Bravo!

Very good game! New release angled graphics are beautiful. Special effects at the highest level. I really like the dialogue in the game and the choice. Also, with sex scenes that are at a very high level. I recommend!

This is my review about the game City of Broken Dreamers, developed by PhillyGames at its 0.4.2 version

The graphic is amazing; I think that nothing can top that. The animation is fluid, very detailed texture, the illumination is perfect and the art design is a masterpiece.

The gameplay is very dynamic, it has many routes for many situations, the choices have a real impact here and they can change how the scenes will end (good or bad) for the MC or for the girls. This game has a glossary for the players want to understand some specific terms or go deeper into the story and you can find hidden images in-game when you explore the scenery, the game will warn you with a "possible clue" alert at the left-side for your screen, you just need to pay attention to not miss it.

The script is amazing, fluid and natural dialogues, consistent tone, the game universe and the characters are well presented, the narrative has a good pace and coherent, the amount of action and the dialogues are well-balanced, the characters are very charismatic, you really care about them and the humor is put in the right moments.

The sex scenes are diverse, from the soft and vanilla to the hardcore and kinky. The scenes have several positions, they deliver the impact they were meant to be and they are very inspired.

This game is a rare gem and it proves games from the porn genre can have a great quality story. I recommend for every adult game lover.

Realized I haven't reviewed this game yet. Let it be known right now that this is currently the best game on this site and the best adult game I've played, PERIODT.

I remember playing Depraved Awakenings, which was a great game, but it's astonishing to see just how much PhillyGames has jumped in quality when the previous game was already a top contender across the board.

Every single character we are introduced to bring something with meaning to the table. No one feels forced in. Everyone has a role to play and every choice you make genuinely feels like it will affect you in the long run. This doesn't feel like a landscape only meant to cater to the player's sexual urges. It feels like a living, breathing city that has its own shit happening outside of the MC's influence. Shit that requires his skillset.

It's not often that an adult game of all things demands your attention, not through tits, ass and pussy, but through dialogue, action sequences, mystery. It's all here. Honestly, this feels like a AAA concept that found a way to being an adult game. "What if Cyberpunk 2077 were an erotic VN." Those are the vibes I get and I absolutely love it.

I don't have a single issue with this game. None. Characters are amazing(Chandra and Victoria especially), visuals are amazing, animations are amazing, music, oh God the music is amazing and I'm so looking forward to seeing more. EDIT: And that final sex scene as of 0.4.2 is probably the best sex scene I've ever laid eyes on in an adult game. Too much info, but I was basically leaking precum in my draws. I need to get out more, this shit isn't healthy.
