Are your save on the screen "To be continbued" ?
If so, load it and go backward few screens and let it roll forward again, you will not see the "to be continued" screen and it will go on with the update. It worked for me that way.

from the previous chapter 8 and from there I skipped to the end and from there it worked perfectly till the end of chapter 9. I noticed some fixes as I was skipping forward. So load a earlier save is what will fix your game save.
